Just Because – Ready for Spring

Hello! Today, I am sharing a whimsical, spring-themed, friendship card created with Spellbinders products. Even though Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow (and declared six more weeks of winter), I am crafting with spring colors.

Die-cut bunny, balloon, and flowers with dies in the Open House Spring set.
Die-cut the square card frame (measuring almost 4 1/2 inches) with dies in the Fluted Classics Squares set. Adhere to a yellow card base.
Die-cut the circular frame with dies in the Fluted Classics Circles set.
Die-cut hill with a die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Adhere to sky cardstock and cut both with a die larger than the interior of the circle frame. Adhere frame and add assembly to card base.
Adhere flowers to the circular frame. Add the bunny and balloon with foam adhesive.
Glimmer-foil in Gold the sentiment with a plate in the More Sentiments set and die-cut with a die in the Mini Sincere Sentiments set. Attach to card.

Feb 2022 Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Hello crafty friends! I’m delighted to share a friendship/encouragement card created with the Spellbinders February 2022 Large Die of the Month “Typing Class.” I have also used this month’s Embossing Folder Kit Club “Sketched Floral” for the card background. For a cheerful vibe, I selected bright colors.

I die-cut and assembled the typewriter.
I die-cut and assembled the kit’s flowers and foliage.
I die-cut the kit’s sentiment pieces and sized the note in the platen accordingly, which I cut in a paper trimmer.
I glimmer-foiled the Mini Sincere Sentiments in Matte Silver and cut it using a banner die in the same set.
I added the assembled typewriter with foam adhesive to the dry-embossed background, tucking the foliage behind the note.

Hello crafty friends! I’m sharing CAS mini-slimline cards created with the Spellbinders February 2022 Embossing Folder Kit Club “Sketched Floral.” I used die-cutting, glimmer-foiling, and dry-embossing on these cards – three of my favorite techniques!

Color white cardstock with Distress Oxide inks. I created versions with both warm and cool tones.
Die-cut inked the panel to mini-slimline size using the largest die in the Precision Layering Mini Slimline A set.
Dry-emboss the panel with the February 2022 Embossing Folder Kit Club. Remove the top texture with a sanding block to reveal the pattern in white.
Using a die in the Fluted Classics Circles set, die cut a circle from the panel slightly above the middle.

Create a card base sized 3.5 x 6.5 inches; create a mat for the dry-embossed panel from Onyx cardstock.
Die-cut custom large sentiment with the Simply Perfect Alphabet from Onyx cardstock.
Glimmer-foil sentiment from the Mini Sincere Sentiments on Snowdrift cardstock in black. Trim and position behind the dry-embossed panel, giving room for the larger letters.
Glue Simply Perfect Alphabet letters above glimmer-foiled sentiments.

Spellbinders Be Bold – Color Block Love Take 2

Hello! I am sharing another CAS Valentine’s Day card created with the Be Bold Color Block Love You die set at Spellbinders. You can see my first card using the set here.

On this card, I die-cut the “LOVE” letters from white glitter paper and inlaid die-cut pieces of red and shades of pink.

I die-cut the “you” letters from white cardstock that I had heat-embossed with Gold Tinsel powder.
