Tim Holtz | Die-cut Flowers

Hello! Today I am sharing a bouquet of die-cut flowers created with dies designed by Tim Holtz for Sizzix.

Cut pot, floral, and foliage pieces with dies in the Modern Floristry, Potted, and Brushstroke Flowers 2 sets from Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
Watercolor die-cut pieces with Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, and Peeled Paint inks. Once dry, add additional ink as necessary.
Cut flower centers from black cardstock.
Assemble flowers.
Stamp Tiny Text sentiment in black on white cardstock. Add Tumbled Glass ink to background.
Adhere pot, flowers, and foliage to card using foam adhesive as necessary.

Spellbinders November Clear Stamp of the Month

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS, watercolored, Christmas card created with the just-introduced Clear Stamp of the Month Club from Spellbinders-“Christmas Gem.”

I stamped the set’s largest image on to watercolor paper with Archival ink.
I stamped the sentiment in the center portion of the gem.
I watercolored the image with Distress Inks.
I created a mask for the gem and applied yellow ink to the background.
I added Nuvo drops to some of the berries in the cascade on the left of the image.
I added the panel to a dry-embossed background and adhered clear round drops for texture and visual interest.

Penny Black – Time to Bloom

Hello! Today I am sharing a spring-themed card suitable for encouragement, congratulations, or friendship featuring Penny Black supplies from their most-recent release – “Secret Garden.”

I stamped and watercolored the cute bear image from 30-687 Plant Sunshine and once dry, I cut the image with its coordinating die set.
I die-cut the 51-623 Pretty Picket fence and the blooms with the 51-596 Bird and Branch set.
I stamped the patterned paper background with a sentiment from the 30-703 Blooming Sentiments set.
I assembled the scene and added the panel to a patterned paper card base.

Penny Black – Watercolored Golden Dance

Hello! Today I am sharing a card featuring a watercolored floral image from the Penny Black stamp set #30-562 Golden Dance, cut with its coordinating die.

I stamped the #30-562 Golden Dance image with VersaFine ink on Cold Press paper and watercolored it with Distress Ink reinkers and Gansai Tambi watercolors.
Once dry, I cut the image with the #51-533 Golden Dance Cut Out.
I cut the floor with the #51-433 Wood Floors die from cardstock, which I had colored with Distress Oxide inks.
I blended Tumbled Glass ink on to the card base and stamped a sentiment from the #30-418 Stitched Flowers stamp set.
I adhered the floor (and its base board) to the card base and added the watercolored flowers with foam adhesive.

Hello! Today I am sharing a watercolored thank you card featuring Penny Black supplies.

I stamped the #40-682 Harmony image on to Canson Montval watercolor paper with Versafine ink and colored the image with Zig markers and Gansai Tambi watercolors.
Once dry, I stamped the panel with a sentiment from the #30-574 Special Sentiments set and trimmed it.
I added the image to a white linen-finish card base.
