Winter - Right as Rain

Tim Holtz Bold Tidings Mini

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS Christmas card created with Tim Holtz supplies that combines my favorite techniques: stenciling, die-cutting, and heat-embossing.

I applied white embossing paste through the Flurries stencil on an A2 teal card base.
I heat-embossed the Bold Tidings Mini sentiment with Wow silver glitter powder on white cardstock. I trimmed the sentiment and backed it with a silver cardstock mat.
I die-cut the Tree Line from white cardstock to which I had applied double-sided sheet adhesive. I added Clear Rock Candy glitter to the exposed trees. I like using Clear Rock Candy glitter as it does not have an undertone (some premade glitter sheets are blueish, yellowish, or pinkish).
Once the background was dry, I added the trees and the sentiment panel with foam adhesive.

Rubbernecker – Cabin in the Woods

Hello! Today I am sharing a Christmas, winter-themed card created with Rubbernecker supplies (many of these products are now available at Brass and Bliss as Rubbernecker rebranded).

I heat-embossed the Snowmen with Presents sentiment in white on dark blue cardstock. After masking the sentiment, I added white embossing paste through a Carta Bella snow stencil and set the panel aside to dry.
I die-cut the Pine Tree Forest and Deckle Frame from white cardstock.
I trimmed the Pine Tree Forest to fit behind the Deckle Frame. Once the stenciled background was dry, I adhered the forest and frame to the background.
I added the assembly to a light gray card base.
I die-cut the Cabin from a variety of cardstock colors and assembled the pieces. The small trees, snow on the chimney, and roof were cut from Doodlebug Lily White glitter cardstock. I added the assembled cabin and trees to the scene with foam adhesive.

Penny Back – Snowfall and Serenity

Hello! Today I am sharing a quick-to-make Christmas card created with Penny Black supplies from the Home for Christmas release. I chose colors to coordinate with the 50-001 Pinecones and Peace panel.

For card base, stamp 30-852 Fresh Snow sentiment in brown ink on light green cardstock.
Add 50-001 Pinecones and Peace panel to card base (trimmed), with a brown cardstock panel underneath.
Add die-cut 51-708 Dancing Snowflakes with glue and 51-707 Harmony with Nature deer with foam adhesive.

Penny Black – Bring on the Snow

Hello! Today I am sharing a winter-themed card created with a new Penny Black sentiment set 30-852 Fresh Snow paired with additional die sets. I used the same design on a card here.

For the background, stamp 40-706 Snowflake Pattern in white ink on Taylored Expressions Earl Grey cardstock.
Heat-emboss the sentiment in silver 30-852 Fresh Snow on light blue cardstock and cut with the 51-053 A Pocket Full die. Use same die to cut vellum.
Cut penguin and snowbank with the 51-668 Festive Family die set. I used the same set on this card.
Die-cut snowflakes with the 51-708 Dancing Snowflakes set.
Add sentiment panel, vellum, penguins, snowbank, and snowflakes to card base.

Spellbinders Snowy Christmas Scene + A Sale

Hello! Today, I am delighted to share a winter Christmas scene created with Spellbinders supplies from several different collections. I really enjoy mixing and matching between collections.

Apply white embossing paste through the Layered Christmas Tree stencil on to an A2-size navy cardstock panel and allow to dry.
Cut snowy hills from Stampin’ Up white velvet cardstock with the Color Block Scenic Scape dies. Add to card background. Die-cut trees with a die in the Chill Bear set from green cardstock.
Cut houses with dies in the Silent Night set from red cardstock and back with soft yellow cardstock.
Cut snowflakes with dies in the Silent Night set and the Chill Bear set from white felt cardstock.
Heat emboss Sunday Drive All-Occasion sentiment in white on green cardstock and cut with die in the Yana’s Tiny Sentiments set.
Add elements to card base.
