Penny Black Simplicity – CAS Holiday Woodland Scene

Today, I’m sharing a CAS holiday, woodland scene created with Penny Black stamps and dies.

To begin, I covered the card base with paper from the 80-013 Holiday Trimmings pad. I stamped a tree from the 30-261 Nature’s Friend set onto white cardstock and cut it with a circle die cut, and then I trimmed off the right-hand side and bottom. I added a deer, cut with the smaller die in the 51-069 Together set, to the circle panel with foam adhesive. The heat-embossed sentiment from the 30-257 Joy Filled set was cut with the banner die from the 51-055 Shades set.

I also have a holiday card on the Penny Black Simplicity site. I hope you’ll head on over and take a look.

All Is Bright – Holiday Window Scene

Today, I’m sharing a CAS (and easy-to-assemble) holiday card created with die cuts.

I used patterned paper to cover the card base and to provide the scene in the window. I added a sentiment created with a digital brush set from Ali Edwards.

I’m adding this to the Color Throwdown Challenge #373.

Supplies: Poppystamps cat, American Crafts Be Merry patterned paper, Ali Edwards digital sentiment

Penny Black Simplicity – CAS Heat-Embossed Winter Tree

Today, I’m sharing a CAS holiday card featuring a holiday tree image from Penny Black’s the 30-308 Peace & Harmony set.

I heat-embossed the tree with silver embossing powder onto a white cardstock panel. I adhered the panel to a card base covered with paper from the 80-013 Holiday Trimming pad. I added a bird cut from watercolor paper, which I watercolored with Distress Ink, using a die from the 51-050 Tweet Things set. I heat-embossed the sentiment, from the 30-257 Joy Filled set and cut it with the banner die from the 51-055 Shades set.

This card would be easy to mass produce and could be easily changed up by heat-embossing with a different color powder, using different patterned paper or using different colored cardstock for the panel and banner.

Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #14

I’m playing along with the Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #14.

My take on the challenge used the sketch:

I heat-embossed a sentiment from the In & Out Christmas set on Sweet Basil cardstock and cut it with a die in the Stitched Banner Stacklets set. I used the same die to cut a piece of patterned paper from the 6×6 Paper Pack – Build a Scene Christmas pad. I cut the Eventful – Night Before Christmas scene from Cherry Pop cardstock. I cut Sugar Cube cardstock with a die in the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets set. I covered the card base with a piece of paper from 6×6 Paper Pack – Build a Scene Christmas pad and added a rectangle cut with another patterned paper from the set. To finish, I added trees cut from Sugar Cube cardstock with dies in the Build a Scene – Central Park and Build a Scene – Winter Trees set.

12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2015 – Night Before Christmas

Today I’m a guest over in the Ellen Hutson Classroom for the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist. Paired with the talented Sharon Harnist, I’m sharing a tag created with the theme – Twas The Night Before Christmas.

My tag features Taylored Expressions die cuts and a Santa image and sentiment from the Santa’s Flight set designed by Julie Ebersole.

I built the tag in layers, beginning by heat-embossing the Santa image and ending with the heat-embossed HO HO HO sentiment! Head over to the Classroom for a full supply list and to see Sharon’s take on the theme!
