Spellbinders | July 4th Fireworks Bouquet

Hello! I’m excited to share a July 4th friendship card created with several dies in the Out & About Collection at Spellbinders. I am a big fan of a red, white, and blue color palette for summer cards. The card features a watering can filled with a bouquet of red, white, and blue flowers, set against fireworks patterned paper (an Echo Park pad from several seasons ago).

    • Cover an A2-size card base with patterned paper. To quiet the pattern, I inked a portion of the center with white pigment ink.
    • Cut Sprinkle & Grow pieces (watering can, flowers, foliage) from cardstock; assemble. I additionally cut one of the flowers in the Garden Buddies set.
    • Tape flowers and foliage to watering can. Back the opening with darker cardstock.
    • Press the Always and Forever sentiment in Cosmic Sky ink on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut with the coordinating die.
    • Add sentiment and assemble bouquet to base with foam adhesive.
    • Embellish with clear enamel dots.

Hello! I am delighted to share a whimsical card today featuring die sets from the Out & About Collection at Spellbinders. This collection of 15 die sets, including sentiments and focal items, works well with the newest machine in the Spellbinders line-up of die-cutting and embossing machines – the Platinum Scout, a portable and compact design with a platform measuring 3 1/2″ x 9″.

Queen & Co | Scallop Shell Shaker Card

Hello! I’m excited to share a beach-themed, shaker card featuring a scallop shell design with shaker elements contained within the shell. The sentiment, “Let’s Shell-abrate!,” adds a playful touch perfect for a variety of celebratory occasions. I used products from the Queen & Co’s Under the Sea kit, which beautifully complements the theme with its vibrant patterned paper and embellishments.

The Under the Sea kit includes dies (nine different focal elements), die-cut foam pieces, shaker elements, patterned paper, and a sentiment stamp set (featuring some fun fonts). I used Foundation die sets – 31419 – to create the paper layers and to cut my sentiment.

Pineapples and Aloha Vibes

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a summer-themed card that captures the essence of tropical paradise. Featuring two pineapples adorned with hibiscus flowers, this card radiates happiness with its vibrant colors. The cheerful sentiment “aloha” adds the perfect touch.

    • Cover A2-size card base with patterned paper. You can read more about background options in this post.
    • Cut the Polaroid frame from white cardstock with the Say Cheese, Again die. I used this die on a nautical-themed card HERE.
    • Stamp the Lawn Fawn Aloha sentiment on to the frame with black ink. The stamp set is available at Frantic Stamper.
    • Add patterned paper to the back of the frame and add frame to card front.
    • Color white cardstock with a variety of Distress inks. Cut the cardstock with the Playful Pineapple die set to create the pineapples and flowers. I used the inlay technique. The Playful Pineapple set creates a pineapple with eyes and mouth; the set also includes dies so that those elements can be eliminated.
    • Add pineapples and flowers to the card with dot and foam adhesive.
