Taylored Expressions – Colorful Halloween

Hello! Today, I am sharing another Halloween card created with Taylored Expressions supplies. I created two cards for the Taylored Expression blog using color combinations with the new release colors – Eggplant and Sweet Potato Pie. You will find color combination suggestions and a free color inspiration download on that post. While I had the Halloween supplies out, I thought “How about another card?!”

I cut the Ghost Town Border from Eggplant cardstock. I backed the windows with Cookie Monster and Candy Corn cardstock.
For the background, I stamped the Bare Trees Background in Lime Zest ink on Lime Zest cardstock.
I cut the BOO sentiment from Candy Corn cardstock and adhered it to the scene with foam adhesive.
I cut a frame from Sugar Cube cardstock and adding the panel to a Cookie Monster background.

Spellbinders August Small Die of the Month Kit

Hello! Today, I am delighted to be sharing two CAS projects created with the August Small Die Of The Month kit from Spellbinders. These cards took very little time to put together!

I created a “cheer up” card and a holiday card with the set. The birds, flourishes, frames, and flower lend themselves to a number of different occasions! First a look at the “cheer up” card.

I cut the pieces from cardstock to which I had applied watercolor and Distress Inks. I heat-embossed the birds with clear embossing powder. The background was dry-embossed with the Spellbinders SES-006 Circles and Diamonds embossing folder. I added Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flowers.

Now the holiday card.

For the holiday card, I cut the frame, flourish, and birds from cardstock to which I had applied double-sided adhesive. I applied microfine glitter to the pieces before adding them to a piece of patterned paper on which I had stamped the sentiment.

TE August 2018 Release Day – Fall and Halloween

Hello! Welcome to the Taylored Expressions August 2018 Release! All of the products that we have been sharing this week are now available in the TE store! Before you head off to shop, I have a Halloween-themed card and a fall-themed card to show you.

Both of my projects today showcase newly introduced Caps Lock sets – such an easy way to add an impactful sentiment to a card. On my first card, I used Caps Lock – Boo along with the Bare Trees Background stamp, Tomb Sweet Tomb, and Tombstone Trio to create a CAS Halloween scene.

I stamped the Bare Trees Background on to both Eggplant and Sweet Potato Pie cardstock, cut the letters out of the Sweet Potato Pie and adhered them over the background.

On my second project, I combined the Cutting Edge – Fall set and Cap Locks – Fall for an autumn-themed card.

I stamped the background with the Gunny Sack Background stamp. I added the Cutting Edge – Fall border (which I colored with Copic Markers) and a few individual leaves created with the same set.

TE August 2018 Release – Cute & Sarcastic

Hello! Welcome to Day 3 of the Taylored Expressions August 2018 Release Sneak Peeks. The August 2018 release products will be available tomorrow – Thursday, August 2 @ 7 AM PDT!

My first card features one of the critters from the Fluffy Friends set.

I stamped, colored, and cut out the Fluffy Friends bear.
I created a scene by stamping the Bare Trees Background on the card base and added a grassy hill, on which I had stamped the sentiment, cut with a die in the Build A Scene – Grassy Hills set.
To complete the scene, I added Little Bits – Leaves to the trees and around the bear.

My second card showcases the Sarcasti-chick and Sarcasti-chick’s Closet sets. Her looks are entirely different depending on which clothes you choose.

I stamped, colored, and cut the chick and her outfit.
I stamped the sentiment on a panel cut with the Let’s Talk Edger 3 die.
I added grassy hills cut with the Build A Scene – Grassy Hills set.
I added food items to the scene, which were created with the Binge Worthy stamps and dies.

TE August 2018 Release Sneak Peeks Day Two

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of the Taylored Expressions August 2018 Release Sneak Peeks. The release features Halloween and fall-themed stamps, dies, stencils, patterned papers and two new ink/cardstock colors! Today, my projects have a fall focus. The August 2018 release products being sneaked will be available Thursday, August 2 @ 7 AM PDT!

My first project combines the Rustic Wreath stamp and Words of Faith 2 stamp set along with the previously released Fall Florals stamp and dies.

I stamped the Rustic Wreath in Peapod ink on Sugar Cube cardstock.
Using a stamp positioner, I stamped the Words of Faith 2 sentiment inside the wreath in Chocolate Truffle ink.
I stamped the Fall Florals with a variety of inks. I cut the florals and added them to the wreath.
I put the panel on to a Chocolate Truffle card base.

My second project showcases the Falling Leaves Cutting Plate paired with a heat-embossed sentiment from the Words of Faith 2 stamp set.

I stamped and heat-embossed the Words of Faith 2 sentiment on Buttercream frosting cardstock.
I cut the Falling Leaves Cutting Plate from Toffee cardstock and added the die-cut to the sentiment panel.
I attached the assembly to a Sweet Basil card base.
I die-cut the leaves from cardstock to which I had applied adhesive sheets.
I applied microfine glitter to the die-cut leaves and adhered them to the frame.
