Watercolored Home Filled with Cats using Art Impressions Stamps

Hello! Today, I am sharing a project created with the Art Impressions matchbook set – Cats. I enjoyed watercoloring a cozy scene with twelve feline friends cuddled up keeping one another company. I provide details below on how I created the scene.

The Art Impressions Matchbook series has many different options. You can see an intro video here. I recently created a card with the Tool Shed Matchbook set – you can see that scene here.

- Stamp Cats images in VersaFine ink on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper; heat set.
- Watercolor the images with watercolor markers using a No. 4 brush and palette. I used a combination of Tombow and Zig markers. I appreciate the opportunity to learn more about my watercolor marker palette.
- Once dry, cut the images with the coordinating dies included with the Cats set.
- Cut matchbook from patterned paper with the MB Template. Add watercolored Cats elements.
- Stamp Cats sentiment on white cardstock and cut with the MB Template die; trim and add to the top flap.

Art Impressions | Watercolored Blooming Window

Hello! Today I am excited to share a “Hello” card created with the Art Impressions Blooming Window and ShadowBox Window Die sets featuring a window looking out onto a beautiful spring garden scene. I used watercolors to bring the garden to life. Let’s take a look at the details of the supplies I used and how I created it.

Stamp Blooming Window images (main image and additional pot of tulips) with VersaFine on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper; heat set.
Watercolor the garden scene with watercolor markers (list of markers used shown in the list below).
Use ShadowBox Window Die to frame image. In this video Bonnie Krebs shows how to use the die set. The ShadowBox set works with the Art Impressions Windows to the World stamps.
Cut images and sentiment with dies in the Blooming Window set and ShadowBox Window Die set; assemble.

Art Impressions | Tool Box Matchbook

Hello! Today I am sharing a project created with Art Impressions supplies. I have been familiar with the company for years, but I have never before crafted with their products; I re-discovered them while doing my recent deep dive into watercoloring. Their blog, Facebook page, and YouTube channel are full of inspiration, and their customer service is fantastic!

The Matchbook series has many different options. You can see an intro video here. The Tool Shed, with which I created, was released this year. I like the small size – it allows me to practice watercoloring with markers, learn the colors of the markers, and finish a watercoloring project in a relatively short amount of time. Stamp Tool Shed images in VersaFine ink on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper.
Watercolor the images with color medium of choice. I used a combination of Tombow and Zig markers.
Once dry, cut the images with the dies included with the Tool Shed set. Stamp sentiment on white cardstock and cut with coordinating die.
Cut matchbook from patterned paper with the MB Template. Add Tool Shed elements.
