Elegant Amaryllis Christmas Card

Hello! I’m excited to share a CAS, elegant Christmas card featuring a single, stunning amaryllis created with Spellbinders supplies in the Amaryllis Christmas Collection by Yana Smakula. The focal point is accompanied by a BetterPress sentiment. This simple yet elegant design captures the beauty of the holidays with a timeless floral motif and a joyful message.

- - Press the Home for Christmas sentiment in black ink on the Evergreen Season Collection paper. Trim to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and add to an A2-size card base.
  - With a die in the Yana’s Amaryllis set, cut the bloom from red cardstock. Carefully turn the piece over and tape from behind to keep the outline and interior pieces together. Cut two more blooms from darker red cardstock, removing the interior pieces and keeping the outlines. Adhere these together and then adhere to the piece with the full bloom intact. Cut the flower once more from gold cardstock. Fussy-cut and add the gold stem to the bloom piece.
  - Finally, trim the completed bloom and the bottom and add to the card front.

Spellbinders | Team Spirit Penguin

Hello! With the start of regular season football just around the corner, I am sharing a handmade card featuring a penguin sporting his (her) team’s colors. Using Spellbinders dies, I’ve dressed this penguin in Seattle Seahawks green and blue, perfect for celebrating my hometown team. But don’t worry—whether you’re a fan of another team or want to make a card for someone else, the penguin’s scarf and earmuffs can easily be changed to match any sports colors.

- Create card background from a Purple Mist cardstock panel cut with the largest die in the Precision Layering A2 A set and dry-embossed with the Sparkling Snow 3D folder. Add to A2-size card base.
- Cut penguin with dies in the Whimsical Winter Critters and Festive Ornaments sets from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble.
- Cut snowflakes with dies in the Christmas Wreath Add-Ons and the Holiday Decorations die sets from white flock.
- BetterPress the All Seasons Winter sentiment in black ink and cut with coordinating die.

Impression Obsession | Flower Cart Hello

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS friendship card featuring several Impression Obsession die sets. The focal point of the design is a quaint flower cart full of colorful flowers. Brighten someone’s day with a little unexpected joy!

- Dry-emboss Sea Glass cardstock with the Burlap embossing folder. Add to an A2-size base.
- Cut frame from Snowdrift cardstock with largest die in the Frame in Frame 2 set. (The scalloped frame enhances the charm of the flower cart.) Back frame with Chamomile cardstock.
- Cut sentiment with the Speech Bubbles set. (I really like the size of these letters.) Add sentiment to background panel. Add assembly to card base.
- Cut cart and flowers from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble and add to card with foam adhesive.

Spellbinders BetterPress Congratulations

Hello! Today, I’m excited to share a colorful balloon congratulations card created with the Spellbinders BetterPress Happy Hooray Balloons set. I previously shared a birthday card with the same set HERE. The set includes mylar printed registration templates, along with plates and banner dies, making it easy to create a multi-color letterpress design. You can also download the registration template (to be printed at home) HERE.

- With the registration template in place, press the balloons and strings with Tiger, Taffy, Azure, and Black ink on an A-2 panel using the Happy Hooray Balloons set. (I used two shims for the balloons and one shim for the strings.) Add the pressed panel to an A-2 card base.
- Separately, press the “Congratulations” sentiment portion in Black ink and cut with the banner die in the Happy Hooray Balloons set. Add to the card with foam adhesive.
- Embellish with stars cut from white glitter foam with dies in the Merry Mug Creations and Gnome Drive Holiday sets. I have a number of sets which include star dies that I regularly grab to create embellishments.

Rainbow Balloon Birthday Card

In the realm of crafting, sometimes less is more. Today, I’m excited to share a CAS birthday card that embodies the beauty of simplicity while packing a punch of joy and color. Following Christmas cards, birthday cards are the type I send most frequently.

- Using the Lawn Fawn Balloons stencil, add balloons and strings on to white cardstock. (Inks used: Distress Wilted Violet, Memento Love Letter, Memento Tangelo, Memento Dandelion, Distress Salty Ocean).
- Cut panel with A2-size stitched rectangle die. Add to card base.
- Cut white glitter foam with Cole’s ABCs to create the sentiment. Add letters to the panel. Embellish with stars cut from white glitter foam. (I used star dies in the Build-A-Barn and Forest Backdrop sets.)
