Spellbinders | Advent Calendar Day 8

Hello! Today, I am sharing card created with the surprise for Day Eight – a pieced heart die set – in the Crafty Advent Calendar from Spellbinders. Follow along on the Spellbinders blog for daily inspiration.

Use Fluted Classics Squares dies to create card base from Snowdrift cardstock. Card measures almost 4 1/2 inches wide.
Use the December 2022 Embossing Folder to dry-emboss Pomegranate cardstock; cut with die in the Fluted Classics Squares set.
Use the Day Eight Advent Calendar die set to cut heart pieces from Brushed Gold and glitter cardstock. Tape pieces on back and add to heart cut from Vellum.
Glimmer foil in Gold the More Sentiments sentiment and cut with coordinating banner die.
Add heart assembly to card background and embellish with Gold Mix Gems.

Spellbinders | Advent Calendar Day Six

Hello! Today I am sharing a holiday tag created with the Day Six surprise in the Crafty Advent Calendar from Spellbinders– a gnome die set. Follow along on the Spellbinders blog for daily inspiration. (I took Day Five off; the surprise was a peppermint-stripe embossing folder.)

Die-cut Raindrop cardstock with the Create a Decorative Tag die and dry-emboss with the Flurry of Snowflakes folder.
Die-cut glitter with die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set and Create a Decorative Tag die. Add to tag.
Die-cut gnome from Onyx, Lipstick Red, Snowdrift, and Cosmic Sky cardstock.
Stamp Let’s Celebrate sentiment on Snowdrift cardstock and cut with die in the Assorted Tags set.
Add gnome to tag with foam adhesive. Glue silver bell in gnome’s hand. Attach sentiment tag with Peppermint Cord.

Spellbinders | December 2022 Large Die + Embossing Folder – Another Take

Hello! Today, I am sharing another Valentine’s Day/love-themed card created with the Spellbinders December 2022 Large Die “Blooming Heart” and Embossing Folder “Heart Blooms.” I previously shared a card here created with these two items. This design was inspired by the “I Love Lucy” heart, even though it does not look like it!

I created a 5 1/4 inch square card base from Brushed Gold cardstock. I dry-embossed a pearl finish white cardstock with the Embossing Folder, trimmed it, and added it to the base.
I cut the Large Die heart from dark red cardstock and the left floral element from gold glitter foam and Brushed Gold cardstock. The Brushed Gold cardstock nicely shows the die detail. I adhered the Brushed Gold element to the glitter foam piece for depth.
I cut the sentiment from the pearl finish white cardstock.
I added the floral piece and sentiment to the heart, added the heart to the background, and embellished with Gold Mix Gems.

Spellbinders | Advent Calendar Day Two

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS friendship card created with the Day Two surprise in the Crafty Advent Calendar from Spellbinders– a stamp set with flowers and a sentiment. Follow along on the Spellbinders blog for daily inspiration.

I created a card background from Lilac Blossom cardstock dry-embossed with the Puff Dotty folder.
I stamped the floral images and sentiment on Snowdrift cardstock, trimmed it with a die in the Essential Rectangles set.

Spellbinders | December 2022 Large Die + Embossing Folder

Hello and happy December! It is a cold morning here in the Pacific Northwest! Today, I am sharing a Valentine’s Day/love-themed card created with the Spellbinders December 2022 Large Die “Blooming Heart” and Embossing Folder “Heart Blooms.” Find more inspiration for the Large Die set here and for the embossing folder here.

Create the background –
I dry-embossed Snowdrift cardstock trimmed slightly smaller than 5 inches by 7 inches with the Embossing Folder. I added the panel to a Purple Mist cardstock base.
Create the focal item and sentiment –
I cut the Large Die heart from Sea Glass cardstock. I cut the floral items from Royal Amethyst, Purple Mist, and Snowdrift cardstock and added them to the heart. I cut the sentiment from Royal Amethyst cardstock.
Assemble + Embellish –
I added the heart and sentiment to the card background and embellished with Spectrum Gems.
