Spellbinders Layers of Flowers

Hello! Happy July! Today, I’m sharing a CAS, red/white/blue card created with the Spellbinders Layers of Flowers die set. It’s not technically a Fourth of July card, but I certainly had the holiday in mind while I created it.

This set, designed by Marisa Job, includes three different floral panels. I have used the three panels together to create a dimensional panel, although the panels could be used alone. I stamped a stacked sentiment on white cardstock to create a vertical card.

I plan to use this die set with a different color scheme on another card. I’m also thinking about rotating the dimensional panel to create a horizontal card.

Hibiscus Frame – CAS Friendship Card

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS friendship card showcasing the Hibiscus Frame from the Simon Says Stamp GOOD VIBES release.

I cut the Hibiscus Frame from 110 lb. white cardstock and trimmed it to A2 panel size (the die cuts the inside but not the outside frame).
I created the background with alcohol inks – Flamingo and Sunshine Yellow – on Yupo paper.
I used a spray adhesive to attach the frame to the alcohol-ink panel. I also adhered die-cut pieces around the edges into the frame.
To finish, I heat-embossed a sentiment from the Kind Flowers set on black cardstock.

Good Vibes – Foiled Stencil Cards

Hello! Today I am sharing two CAS cards created with the Simon Says Stamp Jazz Dance stencil and the Summertime die.

To begin, I applied Deco Foil Gel through the Jazz Dance stencil on white cardstock. Once dried, I ran the panel through the Minc with a Rainbow Foil sheet. For the second card base, I ran a piece of Toner Sheet and the leftover foil sheet (with the negative image from the stencil) through the Minc.

To create the Summertime sentiment panels, I first cut the Summertime die from white cardstock. I also used the die to cut the frame and letters from a Toner Sheet. I foiled the letters with Lime Foil and the frame with Rainbow Foil. I then inlaid the lime foil letters into the white frame and the white letters into the rainbow frame.

Taylored Expressions – CAS Friendship card

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS, summer-themed, friendship card created with Taylored Expressions products.

My card combines the watermelons cut with the Little Bits – Watermelon die set with a sentiment from the Punny Man 2 stamp set.

To make the card:

I die-cut the watermelons from Guava, Pink Champagne, Oreo, and Lime Zest cardstock.
I created a card base with the Weathered Embossing Folder from Sugar Cube cardstock.
I cut a rectangle from the Hello Happiness paper pack and a circle frame from Pink Champagne cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment in Oreo ink on Sugar Cube cardstock. I adhered the stamped panel behind the circle frame.

My first project features the Hibiscus Frame die with which I created a CAS friendship card in bright tropical colors.

I cut the Hibiscus Frame from 110 lb. white cardstock and trimmed it to 4 1/4″ square (the die cuts the inside but not the outside frame).
For the background, I adhered strips of cardstock – Key Lime, Sea Glass, Tangerine Twist – from the Gina K Add-On pack to a piece of cardstock.
I cut the small piece of the hibiscus from Coral Reef cardstock.
To finish, I heat-embossed a sentiment from the Vacation Time set on Tranquil Teal and added it to the top.

For my next project, I created a CAS summer-themed card showcasing the Jazz Dance stencil.

I applied Deco Foil Transfer Gel through the Jazz Dance stencil on to Turquoise Sea cardstock.
Once dried, I ran the stenciled panel through the Minc with matching Turquoise Sea foil to create a tone-one-tone background.
I used the Summertime die for the sentiment. I cut Key Lime, Tangerine Twist, Coral Reef cardstock (all three included in the Gina K Add-On pack) and Turquoise Sea cardstock with the die and inlaid the letters in a white cardstock frame.

For my final project, I created a friendship card combining a sentiment from Vacation Time with the Big Friend die.

To begin, I added Broken China Distress Oxide ink to a white cardstock panel and stamped the Vacation Time sentiment in Archival ink.
I cut the Big Friend die sentiment from white cardstock and Coral Reef.
I used the Blooming Circle die to cut the floral pieces from Lucky Clover, Sea Glass, Tangerine Twist, and Coral Reef (from the Gina K Add-On pack). I used a negative piece to place the small pieces on the card base.
I used Turquoise Sea cardstock for the card base.
