Taylored Expressions – You Make Life Sweet

Cardmaking and Scrapbooking with Jean Manis

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a “just because” card created with the Lawn Fawn Hay There stamp set.
I stamped the cute critters and the barn and colored them with Copic markers.

I created my scene from Lawn Fawn Noble Fir and Mermaid cardstock using a variety of Lawn Fawn dies: the Stitched Cloud Backdrop, the Grassy Border, one of the dies in the Stitched Hillside Border set, and the Picket Fence Border. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment on Black Licorice cardstock and cut it with one of the Everyday Sentiment Banners. The card base is made from Lawn Fawn Paper Bag cardstock.

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a “just because” card created with the Mama Elephant Up and Away set.
I have had this stamp set for several years, but I have barely used it! It was fun to break out the set and color the images (especially the umbrellas) with Copic markers and colored pencils. I created the background with the My Favorite Things Cloud stencil (newly acquired) and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

Hello! Today, I’m delighted to be participating in a Simon Says Stamp blog hop with products from their BEST DAYS release. Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop!
Let’s get started! My first project features the Picture Book Crocodile paired with the Picture Book Sky Background, both of which are part of the Best Days release.
To begin, I colored cardstock with a variety of Distress Oxide inks (Lucky Clover, Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough). I die-cut the Picture Book Crocodile from the colored cardstock and assembled the pieces on black cardstock backing so that the eyes would show through. I also colored cardstock with Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. From that colored cardstock, I cut out the Picture Book Sky Background four times, inlaying it with white cardstock clouds.

The sentiment from the Oh Bunny stamp set was stamped on to a panel which I colored with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink and cut with one of the dies in the Arched Stitching Borders set. I am a big fan of all of the Picture Book animals and can’t wait to pair the Crocodile with other dies in the series.
My second project showcases the Oh Bunny stamp set and corresponding die set.
I inked one of the images in the Oh Bunny stamp set with Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. I then stamped the sweet faces included in the Oh Bunny stamp set on to the bunnies. Once finished with the stamping, I cut the image with its corresponding die.
I placed the bunnies on to a background, on which I had applied Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, and stamped one of the fun sentiments in the Oh Bunny set. To finish off the card, I added clouds cut with the Picture Book Sky Background die and hearts from the Oh Bunny set. I created the card base with paper in the Carta Bella Spring Market 6 x 6 paper pad.
My final project is an Easter tag featuring several different bunnies from the Oh Bunny stamp set.
I stamped the bunny on the left with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink and the one on the right with Squeezed Lemonade. After stamping their faces, I cut the bunnies with their corresponding dies. I used a Lawn Fawn tag die to cut the tag from a background which I had inked with Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I applied Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink to cardstock on which I then heat-embossed the Easter sentiment from the Oh Bunny stamp set. I cut the hill with one of the dies in the Drifted Stitched Borders set, as well as the same Lawn Fawn tag die.

Hello! Today, I am sharing a birthday card on which I combined a number of different Taylored Expressions stamp sets.
I stamped and heat-embossed with gold powder the Rosey Posey images on watercolor cardstock. I watercolored the flower petals with Distress Inks. Once dry, I cut the flowers with their corresponding dies. I stamped and heat-embossed flowers and foliage from the Happily Ever After stamp set and cut those with their corresponding dies.
For the background, I stamped the Striped Background with Cookie Monster ink on Cookie Monster cardstock. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment from Simply Stamped – Roses on a Sugar Cube cardstock strip.
