Today, I’m sharing a CAS card created with Penny Black stamps and dies.

To begin, I masked off a vertical strip and applied Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean with foam applicators. I then stamped the sentiment from 30-345 Soar. To embellish, I added butterflies cut with the 51-132 Flights of Fancy and 51-198 Flourish & Butterflies sets, as well as flourishes cut from vellum using Flourish & Butterflies (these are adhered to the panel under the butterflies). This would be an easy card to change up by simply using a different Distress Ink combination.

Recently, I created a card using the same sentiment and a rainbow assortment of die-cut butterflies. You can see that card on this post at the Penny Black Simplicity site.

TE Share Joy Challenge #39I used the sketch to create a CAS summer-themed card showcasing the Summer Nights patterned paper. (I used this same paper on another project just last week.)

I cut equal-sized strips of three of the paper patterns in the pack. I heat-embossed a sentiment created with the Little Bits of Summer stamp set onto a strip of the same size in Blue Corn cardstock.

To finish, I added the die-cut Little Bits – Flip Flops to the focal circle.

You’re Pretty Sweet!

Today, I’m sharing a “just because” card combining a Hero Arts sentiment with a basket of strawberries created with Impression Obsession dies.

I used my MISTI to center the sentiment on the patterned paper so that it would line up with the notebook paper lines. At first I had the carton adhered to the patterned paper without foam, but it looked “flat” so I pulled apart of carton and added foam. I positioned the strawberries several times before getting the basket to look right.

I used the sketch to create a summer-themed, July 4th card.

I used the Marching On die to cut out the children and dog, using only a portion of the silhouette. I attached the silhouette to a square, which I cut with a die in the Stitched Square Stacklets set, after stamping it with a sentiment from the Patriotic Pals Stamp & Die Combo set. I attached the scene to a card panel dry embossed with the Fireworks folder.

I had so much fun with the Deco Foil that I created two cards with the same design by simply varying the Deco Foil used. For my first project, I cut one of the Deco Foil Toner Sheets with the Up, Up, & Away Cutting Plate and laminated it with Deco Foil Transfer Sheet – Silver.

I laminated the balloon overlays, cut from Deco Foil Toner Sheets with the Up, Up, & Away Cutting Plate, with Deco Foil Transfer Sheet – Aqua, Deco Foil Transfer Sheet – Lime, Deco Foil Transfer Sheet – Magenta, and Deco Foil Transfer Sheet – Red.

I heat embossed a sentiment from the Little Bits of Birthday set with Zing! Embossing Powder – Silver Metallic.

For my second project, I laminated the frame, cut from Deco Foil Toner Sheets with the Up, Up, & Away Cutting Plate, with Rainbow Deco Foil transfer sheets.

Because the balloons were quite colorful, I did not cut out separate balloon overlays.

For this card, I used Zing! Embossing Powder – Gold Metallic for the heat-embossed sentiment (from the Little Bits of Birthday set).
