Spellbinders Fluted Classics Collection by Becca Feeken

Hello! Today I am sharing two cards created with products from the just-launched Fluted Classics Collection by Becca Feeken at Spellbinders. My cards use the Circles and Squares sets. There are ovals, slimlines, and rectangles in the collection as well. While I created holiday cards, these designs are timeless and can be used for any number of occasions.

On the first card, I used the Circles and Squares as frames. The sets contain the fluted detail and outline dies for flexibility in how they are used.

I glimmer-foiled the Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips sentiment in Silver on Brushed Gold cardstock.
I cut the circle frame with a die in the Circles set from Brushed Silver and the Squares from Snowdrift cardstock.
I die-cut a snowbank from Snowdrift cardstock, to which I applied Sparkle Dust Glitter, using the Color Block Scenic Scape die.
I die-cut the Chill Bear as the focal point from a variety of cardstocks including cardstock on which I heat-embossed Red Tinsel embossing powder (for the scarf).
I embellished the card with snowflakes cut from Snowdrift cardstock, to which I applied Sparkle Dust Glitter, using dies in the Chill Bear and Holiday Decorations sets.

On the second card, I used the Squares as a frame and as a border to a die in the All Is Calm Word Frame set.

I cut the outside square frame with a die in the Squares set from Snowdrift cardstock. I cut the center piece by using a die in the Squares set with a die in the All Is Calm Word Frame set.
I backed the interior piece with a square cut from Snowdrift cardstock to which I applied Sparkle Dust Glitter.
I die-cut the All Is Calm Word Frame sentiment from Snowdrift cardstock on which I heat-embossed Gold Tinsel powder.
I embellished the card with snowflakes cut from Snowdrift cardstock, to which I applied Sparkle Dust Glitter, using dies in the Silent Night and Holiday Decorations sets.

Tim Holtz Cozy Winter Tags

Hello! Today I am sharing two versions of a holiday tag featuring the Tim Holtz Cozy Winter bear. I previously shared a card featuring the bear here.

I used a die in the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Tag Collection set to create the tag base, cutting cardstock to which I had applied Distress Oxide ink.

On both tags, I used the Flurries stencil, varying the method by which I created the snowflakes. For the tag on the left, I applied Transfer Gel through the stencil. Once dry, I ran the tag through my Minc with Flock Transfer (now called Deco Foil Plush Paper, White Latte).

For the tag on the right, I applied white embossing paste through the stencil and sprinkled it with Clear Rock Candy glitter.

In addition to changing up the color of cardstocks I used to create the bears, I changed up the sentiment as well. For the first bear, I stamped the Bold Tidings Mini sentiment on to white cardstock and cut it with a Spellbinders Color Block Scenic Scape die.

On the other, I added Clear Rock Candy glitter to white cardstock (with double-sided adhesive), cut the cardstock with the Spellbinders Color Block Scenic Scape die, and added a sentiment cut with the Alphanumeric Bold set, from cardstock to which I had applied Broken China Glaze.

The Cozy Winter set includes a mug for the bear to hold. I swapped out the mug for a present, cut with the Christmas Minis set. I cut the present from cardstock to which I had applied Broken China Glaze and cardstock which I had heat-embossed with Red Tinsel embossing powder. I cut the scarf from these same two pieces.

I really enjoy using the same design while varying the ways in which I create the elements.

Spellbinders Color Block Christmas – Two Takes

Spellbinders November 2021 Clear Stamp + Die of the Month Club

Hello crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a holiday card created with the Spellbinders November 2021 Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club – “Around The Holidays.” Read more about this club here.

I heat-embossed the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club sentiment on to teal cardstock and cut the panel with the curved die in the set.
I die-cut Brushed Silver cardstock with the same die and adhered the teal panel (trimming the sides as needed).
I heat-embossed the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club string of ornaments in silver on Snowdrift cardstock, trimmed the panel, and added the teal/silver assembly to the top.
I embellished the card with a stack of presents cut with the Shopping Spree die set, as well as, snowflakes cut from cardstock, to which I applied Sparkle Dust Glitter, using dies in the Chill Bear and Holiday Decorations sets.

Tim Holtz Bold Tidings Mini

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS Christmas card created with Tim Holtz supplies that combines my favorite techniques: stenciling, die-cutting, and heat-embossing.

I applied white embossing paste through the Flurries stencil on an A2 teal card base.
I heat-embossed the Bold Tidings Mini sentiment with Wow silver glitter powder on white cardstock. I trimmed the sentiment and backed it with a silver cardstock mat.
I die-cut the Tree Line from white cardstock to which I had applied double-sided sheet adhesive. I added Clear Rock Candy glitter to the exposed trees. I like using Clear Rock Candy glitter as it does not have an undertone (some premade glitter sheets are blueish, yellowish, or pinkish).
Once the background was dry, I added the trees and the sentiment panel with foam adhesive.
