Party Time Cake Birthday Card

Hello! For this colorful birthday card, I played with the fun and festive Party Time Cake set, the bonus item this month for the Deluxe Caboodle Value Club Membership at Spellbinders. Using the cake die multiple times, I created a lineup of cakes in various colors, with a die-cut banner and cheerful balloons, created with dies in the Small Die of the Month set, to add to the celebratory feel. The design highlights repetition as a technique, making each cake both a focal point and part of a fun, cohesive look.

- Cover a 5″ x 7″ card base with patterned paper.
- With the Party Time Cake set, cut cakes, cake stands, and candles from a variety of colored cardstock. Assemble.
- With the Small Die of the Month set, cut balloons, balloon strings, and sentiment banner from a variety of colored cardstock. Assemble.
- Add assembled items to card base with dot and foam adhesive.

Penny Black Snowy Woodland Christmas Card

Hello! There’s something magical about a quiet winter scene, and this Christmas card brings that feeling to life. Using all Penny Black products, I created a serene woodland setting with three stamped evergreens and two die-cut cardinals nestled in the trees. The background features a subtle snowflake pattern stamped onto woodgrain cardstock, adding texture and a hint of rustic charm. A simple winter sentiment completes the card, making it a perfect way to spread warmth and joy this holiday season.

- Stamp the Snowflake Pattern background in white pigment ink on woodgrain cardstock, trim to A-2 size, and add to a card base. I have never stamped onto the woodgrain cardstock before; it is something I will definitely do again.
- Stamp the All Things Evergreen trees with Oxide inks on Sea Glass cardstock.
- Cut white cardstock with the largest Classy Frames die.
- Stamp the When Snow Falls sentiment in black ink above the trees. Trim the panel to fit within the Classy Frames die.
- Cut the snowbank from white cardstock with a die in the Border Collection set. Trim the snowbank as necessary and adhere to the tree panel.
- Add the frame to the scene and adhere the assembly to the card base.
- Embellish with birds cut from red cardstock with dies in the Winter Trees set (now retired) and snowflakes cut from white cardstock with a die in the Around Town set.

Blending both old and new Penny Black products, I’ve crafted a fresh and timeless Christmas card that captures the peaceful beauty of winter.

Hooray! Spellbinders Whimsical Frog Card

Hello! Today, I am sharing a playful birthday card created with the November Large Die of the Month – “HOORAY! It’s Your Birthday” – by Spellbinders. The colorful card features a cute frog driving a car attached to a “Hooray!” flag. Scroll for information about the Pre-Holidays Savings Event at Spellbinders.

- Cut a Sea Glass cardstock panel with the Essential Rectangle die and dry-emboss with the Stargazer folder.
- Cut a strip from Doodlebug patterned paper and add to the dry-embossed panel to create a ground.
- Add assembly to an A-2 card base.
- Create car, frog, flag, and presents with dies in the Large Die of the Month set from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble.
- Add the assemblies to the card background.

Festive Deer Card for 52CCT Challenge

Hello! I’m sharing an entry for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown! This simple, yet colorful, card brings holiday cheer with a playful die-cut deer and JOY sentiment.

The sketch inspired me to keep the layout clean, letting the patterned paper and focal point really stand out.

- With the 4 1/2″ die in the Large Stitched Square set, cut the background paper. Add to a card base.
- Cut a white cardstock strip and die-cut the top with a die in the Stitched Hillside Borders set. Add to a patterned paper strip and adhere to the card background.
- Cut the Cheery Deer, including the string of lights, from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble.
- Cut the sentiment with Alphanumeric Bold letter dies from white foam and adhere to the card front.

Up, Up, and Away Turtle Birthday Card

Hello! Birthdays are always a reason to lift spirits, and this whimsical card featuring a floating turtle with balloons does just that! Created with the November Small Die of the Month – “Birthday Bliss” – at Spellbinders. This card brings together playful elements and cheerful colors, perfect for sending birthday joy. The turtle, floating up into a clear sky with his balloon bouquet, makes a scene that’s sure to bring a smile.

- Cut Doodlebug Gingham-Linen patterned paper with the largest Essential Rectangles die and add to an A2-size card base.
- Cut card elements from a variety of cardstock colors with the dies in the November Small Die of the Month set. Assemble as necessary.
- Add to the card front with dot and foam adhesive.
