Die-Cut Encouragement Card

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS encouragement card on which I combined a Memory Box die and Essentials by Ellen supplies.

CAS Die-Cut Encouragement Card

I cut the Memory Box Country Landscape from Canson XL Watercolor Paper, which I had colored with Distress Inks. For the green, I combined the Distress Oxide Peeled Paint with Mowed Lawn and Evergreen Bough. I also colored a small strip of the Canson XL Watercolor Paper with Fired Brick. I cut a house and small heart from the red paper with dies in the Home & Hearth set. I used the same set to cut a tree from green paper. I assembled the house and added it to the landscape.

For the background, I smooshed Distress Oxide Broken China on to the Canson XL Watercolor Paper. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment from Up the Happy with VersaFine Ink.

I used a Lil’ Inker  square die to cut the panels; however, the card is not square. I found that I needed more room vertically, so the card is 4 1/4″ wide by 4 1/2″ tall.

Taylored Expressions – Surf’s Up!

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a square, CAS, summer-themed card featuring supplies from Taylored Expressions.

Taylored Expressions Surf's Up

Yes, I have been making a lot of square cards lately! I have also been trying to use more of my patterned paper (of which I have quite a lot). The patterned paper on this card is from Echo Park.

I stamped the Tropical Trio Stamp & Die Combo sentiment directly on the background paper. I added a surf board from On the Road – Surf Bus to the top of the assembled On the Road – Beetle. The palm is cut with the Build a Scene – Tropical set.

Supplies:

Penny Black – Cabin in the Woods

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS “Hello” card featuring a combination of Penny Black dies including 51-303 Build a House.

Penny Black Cabin in the Woods

I used the patterned paper (most, if not all is Simple Stories) as the starting point for the feel of the card, which I wanted to be woodsy and cozy – a cabin in the woods. After assembling the cabin, I added a sentiment cut with a die in the 51-040 Hello Frame set, a cloud cut with the smallest die in the 51-033 Silver Linings set, and trees cut with the 51-273 Tall Trees set.

Most of the solid color cardstock is Stampin’ Up. I cut the background with a 4 1/4″ square die from Lil’ Inker Designs.

Lawn Fawn – Tropical Hello

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS, tropical-themed card featuring supplies from Lawn Fawn.

The crab and palms were cut with dies in the Palm Trees set. I heat-embossed the sentiment from Hello Baby on a sand dune (I really like the simplicity of the typeface of this sentiment), cut with a die in the Stitched Hillside Border set. I primarily used Stampin’ Up cardstock, although I pulled out Memory Box cardstock for the palm fronds, as the other green cardstock I tried didn’t provide enough punch (I get obsessed with green cardstock shades/tints on a regular basis!). I cut the background with a 4 1/4″ square die from Lil’ Inker Designs.

My Favorite Things – Nautical-Themed CAS Card

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS, nautical-themed card featuring supplies from My Favorite Things.

MFT Nautical

I have had the Hot Cocoa Cups in my die collection for a while now (purchased for a winter-themed project) and thought it would be fun to turn them into nautical-themed coffee cups. The standalone anchor die in the recently released You Float My Boat die set fits perfectly!

I stamped the sentiment from the You Float My Boat stamp set with a navy ink from Impress Stamps. To add subtle texture behind the mugs, I added embossing paste using the Tim Holtz Faded Dots Stencil. The patterned paper is from the Carta Bella Ahoy There paper pad (released several years ago).
