Bold Elegance Spellbinders Anemones

Hello! I am sharing a “hello” card today created with products in the Spellbinders Fresh Picked Collection. Crafted with dies and an embossing folder, this card features bold purple anemone blooms. Scroll down for information on the Sweetheart Deals at Spellbinders.

- Dry-emboss an A2-size Waterfall cardstock panel with the Deco Holiday folder. (The Fresh Picked Collection includes the Columns embossing folder.) Attach to card base.
- With the Anemones die set, cut stems and blossoms from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble.
- With the Fresh Picked Sentiments set, cut the sentiment from both Snowdrift and white foam (glitter side down). Adhere.
- Embellish with Clear Enamel Dots.

Spellbinders Monstrously Fun Birthday

Hello! Today, I am delighted to share a whimsical birthday card brought to life with the Spellbinders Dancin’ Birthday Monster die set and Monster Birthday Sentiments stamp set, part of the Monster Birthday Collection, paired with other previously released Spellbinders supplies. Let’s take a look!

- - With the Tiny Dots embossing folder, deboss an A2-size Snowdrift cardstock panel. Add to card base.
  - With the largest die in the Stylish Ovals set, cut a piece of patterned paper from the Echo Park Birthday Wish Boy Collection pad. Add to card base.
  - Stamp Monster Birthday Sentiments sentiment in black ink on to coordinating Echo Park solid paper. Cut with the smallest balloon die in the Color Block Balloons set. Cut string from Snowdrift cardstock. Assemble and set aside.
  - Cut monsters from Snowdrift cardstock, Onyx cardstock, and Echo Park solid paper. Assemble.
  - Add monsters and balloon to card base, using foam adhesive as needed.
  - Embellish with stars cut from Echo Park solid paper with dies in the Merry Mug Creations die set.

Spellbinders January Small Die of the Month

Hello! I am delighted to share a friendship card featuring the Spellbinders January Small Die of the Month Club Kit – “Sitting Pretty.” In addition to a friendship card, the elements in the kit can be used for a variety of occasions – congratulations on an engagement, a Valentine, or “Just Because.”

- To begin, dry-emboss an A2-size Chamomile cardstock panel with the Tiny Dots folder. Attach to card base.
- Glimmer foil a Mini Everyday sentiment in Gold on Dahlia cardstock. Cut with banner die included in the Mini Everyday set.
- Cut Small Die of the Month elements from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble and add to card front, using foam adhesive as necessary.
- To embellish, add pink enamel dots.

Spellbinders January Large Die of the Month

Hello! Today, I am sharing a card suitable for a number of occasions featuring the Spellbinders January 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit – “Honey Bee Jar.” The set includes dies to create a jar that can be filled with honey, a bee, and an assortment of floral elements, as well as a jar topper, bow and string, and sentiment tab.

- To begin, dry-emboss A2-size kraft cardstock panel with the Tiny Dots folder. Attach to card base with raised side down.
- With a die in the Large Die of the Month Club Kit set, cut the jar from vellum and also from Snowdrift cardstock. Adhere together in the center. Add to the card background. With a different die, cut the liquid and clear portion of the jar. Adhere pieces together on the back with tape and add to the jar.
- Cut flowers and bee; assemble and add to the jar, using foam adhesive as necessary.
- Attach jar topper, cut from canvas cardstock, along with bow and string, and sentiment tab.

Newton’s Nook Christmas Nap

Hello! Today, I am sharing a holiday card featuring the Newton’s Nook Christmas Nap stamp set with coordinating die. Picture a watercolored Christmas scene featuring a lovable dog and a cozy cat nestled in a chair.

- Cut an A2-size rectangle of Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock and add to card base.
- Stamp the Christmas Nap image with Versafine on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper and heat set. Color the image with watercoloring mediums of choice (I used Distress Ink, and Zig and Tombow markers). Once dry, cut the image with the die in the coordinating set. Simon Says has the stamp, and both the stamp and die are available directly from Newton’s Nook and Frantic Stamper. (Check out my “Resources for Watercoloring Stamped Images” HERE.)
- Stamp the Christmas Nap sentiment in VersaFine ink on Fern cardstock and clear heat-emboss it.
- Use the 3 3/4″ x 5″ Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle die to cut the sentiment panel on the bottom edge. Trim at top so that the panel is 1 3/4″ tall.
- Cut a 3 3/4″ x 5″ Snowdrift cardstock panel with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle die. Dry-emboss with the Taylored Expressions Bead Board embossing folder (now retired).
- Attach the sentiment panel to the dry-embossed panel and add the assembly to the card base.
- Add the watercolored scene with foam adhesive.
