Fall Die-Cut Scene – TE Share Joy Challenge #53

Hello! I’m playing along with Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #53. (Note: These challenges are no longer run. I was a huge fan!)

TE Share Joy Challenge #53

I used the sketch to create a fall-themed scene:

Fall Die-Cut Scene - TE Share Joy Challenge #53

I stamped the Birch Tree Background and cut it out with a circle in the Stitched Circle Stacklets set. I created a lot of pumpkins with Little Bits – Fall Harvest and the Little Bits – Fox, placing them in the On the Road – Wagon. I wanted the fox to appear to be almost camouflaged by the pumpkins. I used a sentiment from Woodsy Wishes (the sentiments in the set have just the right touch of whimsy!).

Lawn Fawn Fall Scene

Happy Monday! It’s a crisp fall-like day here in the Pacific Northwest. These puppies from Lawn Fawn’s Happy Howloween set are irresistible!

Happy Howloween

I Copic-colored the dogs and cut them with their corresponding dies adding them to a scene created with a variety of Lawn Fawn die cuts. I pulled the sentiment from Argyle Backdrops. Keep Cozy!

PB Simplicity – Thinking of You Fall-Themed Card

Hello! Today, I’m sharing a CAS fall-themed card created with Penny Black stamps.

PB Simplicity Fall Tree

This card came about as a result of a happy accident. Using my MISTI, I stamped the tree 40-417 Regalia with a variety of Distress Ink colors and then again with VersaMark ink, which I heat-set. The heat-set image allowed me to stencil light blue ink onto the tree with a sponge applicator. (I created a stencil by cutting a circle shape out of vellum.)

After stenciling, I stamped a sentiment from #30-345 Soar and cut the image with a rectangular die, adhering the panel to a wood-grain card base.

Last week, I shared a card on the Simplicity Blog using non-holiday dies to create a bold and modern Christmas creation. I hope you’ll head over there and take a look.

Welcoming Fall + Forever 29!

Hello! Welcome to Day 3 of the Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peeks. With this release, Taylored Expressions is celebrating its 8th birthday with some fun party favors! (I’ve got more info on that at the end of this post.) The wait is almost over! The September products will be released tomorrow – Thursday, September 1 @ 7 AM PST!

TE 8th Birthday

Today, I’m sharing two cards: a fall-themed one and a birthday-themed one! Let’s start with my decorated fall door using Door to Door Fall Decor.

Taylored Expressions September 2016 Release

I tried a number of different colored doors cut with the Door to Door set and this red one made me happy! (So much so that I think I need to paint our front door this color.) I decorated the door with foliage and a wreath cut with the Door to Door Fall Decor set (which includes the squirrel) and Little Bits – Fall Harvest. I put vellum behind the Door to Door Molding to soften the patterned paper (Playful Patterns – Harvest) and to simulate glass. I stamped a sentiment from Pumpkin Bouquet on to coordinating paper from the same patterned paper pack.

My birthday-themed card showcases the Candle Numbers die set.

I chose “29” since it’s often used as the age for birthday wishes in which the actual age of the recipient isn’t discussed. Aren’t these candles fun? I cut the cake with the Build a Cake set from paper in TE 6×6 Paper Pack – Hello Happiness. I added embellishments cut with the Little Bits – Sequins Confetti and Little Bits – Sprinkles Confetti sets. The sentiment is from Simply Stamped – Cupcakes.

Leaves are Falling!

Hello! It’s Day 2 of the Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peeks. With this release, Taylored Expressions is celebrating its 8th birthday with some fun party favors!  The September products will be released Thursday, September 1 @ 7 AM PST!

TE 8th Birthday

Today I’ve got two fall-themed projects (the leaves are already falling here in the Pacific Northwest!). My first card showcases the Fall Florals stamp and die sets (Fall Florals is a companion to the previously-released Fresh Florals stamp set and Fresh Florals Dies).

I stamped the floral pieces with a variety of TE Premium Dye Inks including Toffee, Sweet Basil and Mulled Wine, which are part of the September release. I finished the card with a frame cut with one of the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate dies.

My second fall-themed card showcases the Birch Tree Background paired with die cuts from On the Road – Wagon and Little Bits – Fall Harvest.

That’s right – Taylored Expressions now offers background stamps! I used the Toffee ink to stamp the background. I stamped a sentiment from Simply Stamped – Leaves onto Pumpkin cardstock and cut it with one of the dies in the Stitched Banner Stacklets set (giving it a second cut, rotated, to cut a rectangle). I added the squirrel cut with a die in the Door to Door Fall Decor set (I’ll have a card showcasing that die set on my blog tomorrow).
