Hello! I’m delighted to be a guest over on Spellbinders blog sharing two Halloween-themed projects with supplies from the new Halloween Collection by Becca Feeken.

The Spooky Cottage die set works with the previously-released Charming Cottage die set to create a Halloween gift/treat box. The Spellbinders post includes instructions and additional photos of the project.

I combined the Spooky Boo dies and the Nested Clipped Squares to create a CAS Halloween card.

Spellbinders – Halloween and Fall Foiled Projects

Hello! I’m delighted to be a guest on the Spellbinders blog sharing cards that showcase some of the just-released products in their Halloween & Fall 2020 Collection.

For both of the cards, I foiled images on colorful cardstock. Although I’ll be sad to see summer end, I’m excited about the upcoming season. I’m a self-professed Halloween fan, in large part because of the colors!

Supplies:

Penny Black Halloween Scene

Hello!  Today, I am sharing a card in which I’ve combined several Penny Black supplies in a Halloween scene.

Penny Black Halloween Scene

I die-cut the #51-571 Vintage Truck and assembled it. (This die set includes an evergreen tree die for a Christmas scene, which I plan to create in a few weeks.)

I stamped, colored with Copic marker, and fussy-cut the costumed hedgehog from the #30-592 Critter Costumes set and placed him (her?) into the assembled truck. The witch is off to a Halloween event.

The background was stamped with the Penny Black #40-254 Decadence background stamp (a stamp I’ve had for several years). I really like the feel the background gives to the scene.  The sentiment was cut with a die in the #51-077 Eeek! die set.

What I like about this card: I really like transportation-themed dies and look for ways to use them in imaginative ways; I like the pairing of the elegant, formal background with the truck; I am particularly drawn to fall colors at the moment (more so than in previous falls, it seems) and like the gold, orange, and gray combination.

Penny Black Critter Costumes – Halloween Tags

Hello! Today I am sharing treat tags created with Penny Black supplies showcasing the newly-released #30-592 Critter Costumes stamp set. I’m a big fan of Halloween (and treats!).

I stamped four of the costumed critters in the set and colored the images with Copic markers. I fussy cut the critters and added them to tags which I crafted with the #51-007 Tagged die set.

Some of the tags were stamped with the #40-144 Dots In Space background stamp while others were dry-embossed.

I mixed and matched for variety. The sentiments were cut from the #51-077 Eeek! die set. I originally cut the sentiments in black but they showed up much better in white.

Spellbinders Trick-or-Treat Die-cut Scene

Hello! I am sharing a die-cut Halloween scene on which I combined several Spellbinders/FSJ die sets – “Eek-A-Boo” (this month’s Small Die of the Month), Haunted Manor, and Sweet Home Accents.

Spellbinders Trick-or-Treat Die-cut Scene

For this card, I wanted to capture a trick-or-treat scene. While there are a number of different trick-or-treaters that can be made with the “Eek-A-Boo” set, I crafted a devil. I liked the punch of red the devil provides. (See my first set of cards with the “Eek-A-Boo” set here.)

I also tucked the ghost, cut with a die in the “Eek-A-Boo” set, behind the door – the “Eek” being that it was a ghost who answered the door!

What I like about this card: the Halloween theme; the bold colors; the whimsy of it – a black cat in the window, a ghost at the door; it includes a home scene, which is one of my favorite types of scenes to make; and it’s made entirely from die-cuts.
