TE Christmas Ornaments – One Design, Two Versions

Hello! Today, I’m sharing two Christmas cards, featuring Taylored Expressions stamps and dies, of the same design but with different color schemes.

For my first version, I went for drama!

TE Ornaments

I cut the Ornament Overlays and Ornament Accessories from gold cardstock. I heat-embossed the Ornamental sentiment with gold metallic powder on Oreo cardstock. I die-cut circles that were slightly larger than the overlays from Cherry Pop cardstock. The ornaments were strung with gold metallic thread.

I went with a softer color palette for my second version.

The ornaments were cut from silver cardstock. The Ornamental sentiment was heat-embossed with silver powder on a Salt Water Taffy background. I used the Ornament Accessories to create the strings and bows.

Snow Day

Hello! Today’s I’m sharing a CAS, winter-themed card. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we’ve just had our first significant snowfall of the season in the mountain areas.

CAS Christmas Die-Cut Card

I rummaged through my dies to find a wreath that would work with the Small Winter Sled finding the one in the Holiday Arbor Accessories set to fit well. I heat-embossed the sentiment from Snow Day with silver embossing powder and cut the white cardstock with one of the dies in the Stitched Hillside Border set. The patterned papers are from a Lawn Fawn pad purchased several Christmases ago.

From Witch to Girl Elf!

Hello! I’m sharing a CAS holiday card featuring a female elf (who just happened to have once been a witch!). For the August Taylored Expressions release, I created this card with the Roly Poly – Witch die set. With just a few modifications, she’s an elf for Christmas.

TE Roly Poly Elf

I die cut the pieces from the Roly Poly – Witch set and used corresponding Taylored Expressions ink colors to the die-cut pieces. In addition to that set, I used the cheeks from Roly Poly – Santa. To finish, I added a frame cut from gold cardstock with the Picture Perfect – Vertical set.

As Buddy the Elf, the inspiration for my card, says: “The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.”

For my Thanksgiving table setting, I combined papers from the Playful Patterns – Harvest collection with a woodgrain paper (Woodgrain Textured Cardstock Pack) and initials cut from matching cardstock.

Different holiday? No problem! For my Christmas table setting, I used papers from the Playful Patterns – Holiday collection with a white woodgrain (Woodgrain Textured Cardstock Pack) for the initials.

I also used the Initially dies to create a holiday home decor piece. The Initially die sets include large uppercase, small lowercase, and small uppercase letters. I used the large uppercase for this project.

I cut the letters four times each and adhered them for extra depth. The letters are adhered to a piece of 12″ x 12″ scrapbook paper in a shadow box frame. Super easy!

“From the Desk of”: Introducing TE Initially Dies

Hello! Welcome to Day Two of the Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks. With the holidays just around the corner, this month’s release features products designed for creating handmade gifts! The November products will be released Thursday, November 3 @ 7 AM PST!

Today, I’m sharing a personalized notecard set featuring the Garden Party Background stamp and the Initially dies.

TE November 2016 Release

I put the Garden Party Background stamp on my MISTI – Precision Stamping Tool and stamped away with the TE Inks! The stamp’s circular opening is perfectly sized for the Noteworthy stamp set. (I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig imaging plate on my MISTI to align the stamp.) I added matching die-cut monograms to the stamped circles. The Initially die sets include large uppercase, small lowercase, and small uppercase letters.

The Noteworthy stamp set also works inside the circle of the Noteworthy Belly Band. The Noteworthy sentiments can be used to decorate the outside of a clear card box, packaging a set of monogrammed notecards (and envelopes).
