Lawn Fawn | Die-cut Beach Scene

Hello! Today I am sharing a die-cut, beach scene, “Hello” card created with a variety of Lawn Fawn supplies.

Lawn Fawn | Die-cut Beach Scene

  • Cut cloud background from light teal cardstock with the Stitched Cloud Backdrop. Add to A2-size card base.
  • Cut Tropical Background frame from kraft cardstock and the palm trees from kraft and two shades of green cardstock. Add ink to palm trunks so that they stand out against the kraft frame. Add palm tree pieces to frame.
  • Cut seagull with dies in the Treat Box Beach House set; assemble. Use Copic marker to color legs and beak.
  • Cut wave with Ocean Wave Borders die from dark teal cardstock.
  • Stamp Simply Sentiments “Hello” (with masking) in teal ink on white cardstock. Cut with Simple Puffy Cloud die.
  • Cut sun with circle die from yellow cardstock.
  • Slip wave behind frame, trim as required, and attach to cloud background. Add sun. Add cloud and seagull with foam adhesive.

Nautical-themed Die-cut Card

Hello (or should I say ahoy?)! I am always enthusiastic about crafting anything nautical-themed. I’ve been interested in all things nautical my entire life, even though I didn’t spend my childhood anywhere near the water.

Today’s card features the Memory Box Marina Sailboats. I chose a favorite color scheme of red, white, and blue for the boats.

Nautical-themed Die-cut Card

  • I cut the sailboats from red (SU Real Red), white, and navy (SU Night of Navy) cardstock. I trimmed pieces in order to change the color of the hulls.
  • To create the background, I applied white embossing paste to SU Daffodil Delight cardstock through the MFT Radiating Rays stencil. I used Dreamweaver white embossing paste.
  • I created the sentiment by cutting the letters twice, once in white and once in red (SU Real Red), with the Cole’s ABCs dies. I offset the letters when I adhered them.
  • I used the Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Borders to cut the ocean from Memory Box cardstock. The wave die set includes three wave patterns (three different sizes of the waves); I used all three.

Lawn Fawn Spring Build-A-House Hello

Hello! Today I am sharing a spring-themed card created with Lawn Fawn products. I have shared similar cards here and here. I like cards that feature houses, windows, and fences. One of my favorite pastimes is to look at houses and gardens!

Lawn Fawn Spring Build-A-House Hello

  • I die-cut the Build-A-House and Spring Add-On pieces from cardstock and assembled them.
  • I embossed the background with the Stitched Cloud cover plate. I own the landscape version of the die rather than the portrait version. Luckily the bottom of the sky ended where the grass began!
  • I added a Grassy Border.
  • I masked the Simply Sentiments sentiment and cut it with one of the Simply Puffy Cloud Frame dies.

Lawn Fawn Beach Hut

Hello! Today I am sharing a beach-themed die-cut card created with Lawn Fawn products.

Lawn Fawn Beach Hut

I imagined a beach hut in the Caribbean and chose tropical colors for the door, shutters, background, and palm fronds. Having made this one, I may make a more New England-style house next (without the palm trees!).

The trickiest part of the construction was the creation of the sand hill, on which I heat-embossed the sentiment. The trick was to cut it so that it covered the right amount of the palm frame piece but not too much of the hut.

The hut pieces are part of the Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add-On set. I didn’t use the Lawn Fawn Treat Box set (which I do not own) for the base; instead, I cut the hut with a square die (which I dry-embossed).

Lawn Fawn Hello

Hello! Today I am sharing a square “Hello” card featuring Lawn Fawn supplies.

Lawn Fawn Hello

  • I stamped, Copic-colored, and pencil-colored the elephants from the Wild for You stamp set. (I recently shared a card using images from the same set here.)
  • I created a scene with clouds and a grassy border and matted the scene with a scalloped square.
  • I added die-cut flowers cut from SU Watermelon Wonder cardstock (now retired) to coordinate with the patterned paper base.
  • I masked the sentiment stamped on the die-cut cloud.
