Lawn Fawn Spring-Scene Window

Hello! Today, I am sharing one of my favorite card motifs – the window – on a CAS spring- and/or Easter-themed card created with a combination of Lawn Fawn supplies. I’m noticing that I am really drawn to yellow these days!

Lawn Fawn Spring-Scene Window

  • I cut the Wonderful Window pieces from white cardstock, backing the heart cut-out with red cardstock.
  • I created the scene (through the window) using the Scalloped Treat Box Spring die set. I used the same set to cut flowers and greenery for the window box.
  • I stamped the Simply Sentiments sentiment on to the yellow background panel.

Lawn Fawn Spring House

Hello! Today I am sharing a spring-themed card created with a variety of Lawn Fawn supplies.

Lawn Fawn Spring House
It was a lot of fun choosing colors for the spring-themed house. I used a number of die sets to construct the background. It was a bit tricky trimming off the frame of the Leafy Tree Background!

Hope there are signs of spring in your part of the world (Northern Hemisphere that is).

Lawn Fawn Valentine

Hello! Today I am sharing a Valentine created with a variety of Lawn Fawn products including the Mom + Me stamp set. I’ve had a lot of fun digging out various supplies to create more non-traditional, less formal Valentines.

Lawn Fawn Valentine

  • I stamped the owl and tree stump from the Mom + Me set, colored the images with Copic markers and colored pencils, and cut the images with their coordinating dies.
  • I cut the card base with the largest die in the Outside In Stitched Scallop Square Stacklets set.
  • I cut a 4″ square with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Square die set and embossed it with the Woodgrain Backdrop die.
  • I cut a heart from patterned paper.
  • I stamped the Mom + Me sentiment and cut it with a banner die in the Extra Sentiments set.
  • I cut small hearts using dies in the Wonderful Window and the Speech Bubbles sets for accents.

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge 402

Hello! I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge this week.

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge 402

I followed the sketch very closely. I found the patterned papers in my stash, which became the starting point for choosing colors. This card uses a lot of product I’ve had for many years, and many of the supplies are now retired. I bought the Stampin’ Up stamp set For All Things specifically for this sentiment!

I’m sure I sound like a broken record, but I really like these sketch challenges! It gives me a chance to pull something together in a different way, and I find myself using products that I might otherwise ignore.

What I like about this card: I like the combination of patterned papers and the manner in which the die-cut leaves and circles reinforce the colors in the patterned paper. Now if only it was this easy to find clothing in these colors!

Cardstock: Stampin’ Up Tranquil Tide, Hello Honey, Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar, Cajun Craze

Stamp: Stampin’ Up For All Things (retired)

Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves, Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Leaves, Spellbinders Circle Dies (1.375″)

Ink: Espresso Truffle

Lawn Fawn Butterfly Kisses

Hello! Today I am sharing a card created with the adorable Lawn Fawn “Butterfly Kisses” set. I bought the set as soon as it was released. Recently I had some time to Copic color (something that always takes a lot less time than I think it does.) I figured it was time to use the set since Lawn Fawn’s summer release is just around the corner! (I can’t believe that we are already through half of May!) I combined two of the critters from the “Butterfly Kisses” set with other Lawn Fawn products.

Lawn Fawn Butterfly Kisses

  • I stamped and colored the fox, the bear, the butterfly net, and several butterflies from the Butterfly Kisses set.
  • I cut the Leafy Tree Backdrop from Paper Bag cardstock.
  • I cut Noble Fir cardstock with one of the Meadow Border dies. I trimmed the piece and attached it to the front of the Leafy Tree frame.
  • I cut Icy Mint cardstock with the Stitched Cloud backdrop. I attached the piece behind the Leafy Tree frame.
  • I stamped the sentiment and cut it with the short Extra Sentiments banner die. I attached it to the grass.
  • I cut the flowers with the Spring Sprig die set from cardstock colored with Copic markers (I find that Copic-colored cardstock goes better with the Copic-colored images than solid cardstock). I attached these to the tree with liquid adhesive.
  • I added the Copic-colored images to the scene.
