Die-cut Easter Chicks

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS spring- or Easter-themed card featuring chicks cut with the Karen Burniston Spring Animals set. I used this set last year on this card and this one.

Die-cut Easter Chicks

  • I die-cut the chicks, egg, and accessories and assembled them. I used a Paper Smooches set (Bees) to cut the small eye.
  • I added the chicks to a patterned paper background.
  • I stamped a Lawn Fawn greeting and cut it with a banner die. I only have a few Easter stamps and decided this sentiment worked just fine.
  • I cut a mat for the patterned paper square and added the assembly to a patterned paper card base. (Both from the Echo Park I Love Spring pad.)

Paper Smooches Rose Bouquet

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS card featuring a combination of Paper Smooches supplies, sending a bouquet of cheer in these uncertain times!

Paper Smooches Rose Bouquet

  • I die-cut the floral pieces using the now-retired Paper Smooches Rose die from white cardstock and from cardstock I had colored with watercolor (pink) and Distress Inks (green).
  • I glued the white outline on to the colored pieces.
  • I cut the Mason Jar from white and light-blue cardstock.
  • I stamped the sentiment on to a tag I cut with a punch.
  • I assembled the blooms and leaves on the Mason Jar and added the tag with twine.
  • The Mason Jar and rose assembly was added to a patterned paper card base.

Penny Black Tulip Truck

Hello! Today I am sharing a card I crafted using Penny Black die sets, which was inspired by a hooked wool pillow I saw in the window of a local store (image courtesy of Mud Pie).

Penny Black Tulip Truck

  • I began by die-cutting and assembling the #51-571 Vintage Truck. I backed the window with a lighter blue cardstock.
  • I cut the tulips with the  #51-043 Dainty die from green and two shades of pink. I trimmed the tulip blooms and attached them to the stems.
  • I die-cut the sentiment with the #51-040 Hello Frame set.

Sending warm thoughts during these uncertain times in our global community!

Elizabeth Craft Designs Bunny

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS, spring-themed card created with the Elizabeth Craft Designs Bunny die. He looks like he’s already full of carrots!

Elizabeth Craft Designs Bunny

  • I die-cut the bunny from Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock and a Stampin’ Up pink carstock, which is now retired. I used the eye dies from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Penguin set for the bunny’s eye (the Bunny die set simply places an indent in the eye area), and I added cheeks cut with a hole punch.
  • I propped the bunny on to a stack of greenery cut with the ECD Forest Accessories set.
  • The sentiment is from a now-retired MFT stamp set. I don’t own a lot of Easter or bunny stamp sets, so this one is in heavy rotation at this time of year!
  • I cut the background gingham paper with an oval die made by Taylored Expressions and added the assembly to a patterned paper card base (also from the Echo Park I Love Spring pack).
