TE December 2017 Release – Unique Valentine’s Day Packaging

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of the Taylored Expressions December 2017 Release Sneak Peeks. This month the products are Valentine-themed and will be released Thursday, December 7 @ 7 AM PST! Today, I am sharing two unique Valentine’s Day packaging ideas!

My first project features the Matchy Matchy – Foodie Friends stamp set (with coordinating dies) designed to work with the previously released Matchbox set.

I used the Matchbox die to create the matchbox from both solid cardstock and Playful Patterns – Valentine patterned paper. I stamped, colored and cut the cute taco images from Matchy Matchy – Foodie Friends and added them to a dry-embossed panel for the front of the match box. I stamped the punny sentiment for the interior and added a few hearts cut with the Little Bits – Hearts set.

My second project features the All Tucked In die which creates fun treat packaging. I used the die to create boxes for chocolate squares cut from the Playful Patterns – Valentines patterned paper .

Several I tied with twine and added stamped tags using Mini Tags and Let’s Talk Sentiments. One I embellished with a ribbon cut with the Mini Mix & Match Bows set. It is easy to add patterned paper to the inside of the box as well! This month, Taylored Expressions has a promotion for this die (details included at the end of this post).

Hello! Welcome to Day 1 of the Taylored Expressions December 2017 Release Sneak Peeks! This month features Valentine-themed products, which will be released Thursday, December 7 @ 7 AM PST! Today, I am sharing two Valentine’s Day cards!

My first card features the new stamp set (with coordinating die set) – You Have My Heart. Three cute images with this set!

I stamped the You Have My Heart owls and colored them with Copic markers. I stamped the corresponding sentiment on  Strawberry Milkshake cardstock, and cut it with one of the Heart Stacklets dies. I cut a rectangular panel with one of the Inside Scallop Oval Stacklets twice to provide frames for the owls (these dies are designed to work with the previously released Stitched Oval Stacklets dies). I stamped, colored and cut the limb with the Hoot Hoot Hooray set.The owls’ heads are attached with Mini Wobble Springs for a fun, interactive element.

My second card features the Pierced Heart Stacklets die set with which I created a String Art card.

I stamped Toffee cardstock with VersaMark ink using the Woodgrain Background stamp set. I cut the holes into the panel with one of the dies in the Pierced Heart Stacklets set and strung it with crochet twine. This took very little time!

I die-cut the Loved Script sentiment and dry-embossed the card base with the Weathered embossing folder.

Back to the card – I cut Playful Patterns – Holiday paper with the three triangle dies in the Christmas Tree Stacklets set and arranged them so that there would be a variety of colors and patterns.

I staggered the trees, to create different heights, and used the Build a Scene – Rolling Hills to cover the tree bases. I stamped and heat-embossed a Campy Christmas sentiment and added Little Bits – Snowflake Confetti to fill the Salt Water Taffy sky.

TE Merry & Bright Holiday Die-cut Door

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS holiday card created with Taylored Expressions supplies using a non-traditional color scheme.

TE Merry & Bright Holiday Die-cut Door

I was going to claim this as a “no stamps” card but then remembered I used the Snow Day Background! I started by stamping the background with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers ink. Next I cut the door from Door to Door 2 from Lollipop cardstock. I backed the window with vellum and then again with Sugar Cube cardstock. The Little Bits – Ice Skates held with the bow in Ornament Accessories is the door decor. I cut snow for the top of the door with the Door to Door Winter Decor set. The sentiment is cut from Silver Foil with the Picture Perfect – Vertical die, trimmed and tucked behind the snow. The base needed some textured, so I dry-embossed Cookie Monster cardstock with the Diagonal Stripe embossing folder. And Santa has been by, so his (or hers?) sack, cut with dies in the By the Fireside – Santa set, are left at the door.

Hello! Welcome to the Taylored Expressions November 2017 Release! All of the products that we have been sharing this week are now available in the TE store!

I used the Stitched Circle Stacklets with the Inside Scallop Circle Stacklets to create three frames in which I placed the Little Bits – Balloons and Build a Cake die-cuts. The patterned paper is from the Playful Patterns – Bold package. I heat-embossed the Friendly Phrases sentiment and cut it with a die in the Double-Ended Flag Stacklets set.

For my second card, I used the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets with the Inside Scallop Rectangle Stacklets to create two frames in which I placed the Stacked Teacups. The patterned paper that fills the teacups and shown in the yellow and pink-striped backgrounds is from the Playful Patterns – Bold package.

Just as I did in the first card, I heat-embossed the Friendly Phrases sentiment and cut it with a die in the Double-Ended Flag Stacklets set. These sets make quick work of adding a sentiment!
