Festive Deer Card for 52CCT Challenge

Hello! I’m sharing an entry for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown! This simple, yet colorful, card brings holiday cheer with a playful die-cut deer and JOY sentiment.

The sketch inspired me to keep the layout clean, letting the patterned paper and focal point really stand out.

- With the 4 1/2″ die in the Large Stitched Square set, cut the background paper. Add to a card base.
- Cut a white cardstock strip and die-cut the top with a die in the Stitched Hillside Borders set. Add to a patterned paper strip and adhere to the card background.
- Cut the Cheery Deer, including the string of lights, from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble.
- Cut the sentiment with Alphanumeric Bold letter dies from white foam and adhere to the card front.

Penny Black JOYful Christmas Card

Hello! I’m excited to share a CAS Christmas card featuring products from Penny Black. The card centers around a large, die-cut “JOY” with a village scene nestled inside the “O,” while Santa and his reindeer soar overhead. With its minimalist yet festive design, this card brings a touch of holiday cheer without overwhelming detail, making it perfect for mass-producing or gifting to someone who loves the beauty of simplicity. I shared another card with the Penny Black Immense Joy die HERE.

- Stamp the Snowflake Pattern in silver ink on white cardstock. Trim to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Attach to an A2-size card base.
- Using the Immense Joy die, cut red cardstock three times and adhere together.
- With the Here Comes… die, cut Santa and reindeer from black cardstock.
- Cut the Neighborhood Border from white cardstock and back the windows with yellow cardstock. Fussy cut a circle from dark teal cardstock for the back of the “O.” Trim the Neighborhood Border and back with the teal. Adhere assembly to the back of the Immense Joy die-cut piece.
- Add the Immense Joy assembly to the card background with dot adhesive. Add Santa and reindeer with foam adhesive.

Playful Penguins in a Snow Globe

Hello! Today, I am sharing a whimsical Christmas card featuring a die-cut snow globe and playful penguins crafted with several die sets from Spellbinders. The penguins, nestled in a snowy scene, add fun and charm inside the globe, while the base is decorated with a poinsettia and seasonal greenery.

- To create the card, begin by dry embossing Sea Glass cardstock with the Vintage Ornaments 3D folder. Trim to A2-size and add to a card base.
- Cut the Playful Penguins from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble. I shared a card featuring the HERE.
- Cut the snow globe pieces (dome, base, and snow slopes) with dies in the Snow Globe and Snowman Scene sets and assemble.
- Using dies in the Delivering Joy Sleigh set, cut the poinsettia, greenery, and sentiment tag. I previously shared a card created with the Delivering Joy Sleigh set HERE.
- Add assembled globe, penguins, and poinsettia embellishment to the card base with glue and foam adhesive.

Penguins in the Snow: A Festive Holiday Card

Hello! Charming penguins, dressed for the holidays, steal the spotlight on this card made with the Playful Penguins dies from the Let It Snow Collection by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders.

- - To begin, cover an A2-size card base with patterned paper.
  - Cut penguins and accessories from a variety of cardstock colors; assemble. These are easy to put together.
  - Next, create snowbanks with dies in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Trim as required and add to the card base.
  - Add the penguins to the scene with dot adhesive.
  - Finally, BetterPress the sentiment in black on white cardstock and cut with its coordinating die. Add to the card with foam adhesive.

Amaryllis Christmas Card with Embossed Details

Hello! I’m excited to share my second Christmas card created with with Spellbinders supplies in the Amaryllis Christmas Collection by Yana Smakula. You can see my first card HERE. You may notice that this card is more detailed than my first card, with the addition of a dry-embossed panel created with the Amaryllis Garden embossing folder from the collection. The embossed texture, floral element, and timeless sentiment come together to create a refined and elegant holiday card perfect for the season.

- Cover an A2-size card base with patterned paper. I used Echo Park paper from my stash.
- Cut gold cardstock with the largest die in the Essential Stylish Ovals set. To soften the effect of the gold, cut a vellum oval with the same die. Adhere the ovals together in the center, which will be covered by the dry-embossed panel, and add to the card base.
- Next, cut dark green cardstock with the next smallest die in the Essential Stylish Ovals set. Dry-emboss the oval with the Amaryllis Garden embossing folder and add to the card front.
- With a die in the Yana’s Amaryllis set, cut the bloom from red cardstock. Carefully turn the piece over and tape from behind to keep the outline and interior pieces together. Cut two more blooms from darker red cardstock, removing the interior pieces and keeping the outlines. Next, adhere these together and adhere to the piece with the full bloom intact. Cut the flower once more from gold cardstock. Fussy-cut and add the gold stem to the bloom piece. Cut two leaves from gold cardstock.
- Add the amaryllis to the card front with foam adhesive.
- Press the Home for Christmas sentiment in Spruce ink on white cardstock. Cut with the coordinating die and add to the base of the assembled amaryllis.
