Simon Says Stamp SENDING SUNSHINE Blog Hop

Hello! Today, I’m delighted to be sharing four projects as part of a Simon Says Stamp blog hop showcasing products from their SENDING SUNSHINE release. The list of stops is included at the end of my post.

My first project features the Flower Cluster die. I cut several cardstock colors with the die and inlaid the petals and leaves. I placed yellow cardstock behind the flower centers (rather than inlay those small pieces). On the card panel, I added Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink to the center and adhered the Big Thanks dies sentiment at an angle in the center of the two floral sprays. The Flower Cluster die could be used any number of ways. For example, inlay only a few flowers or simply cut an outline.

For my next card, I used the Marilyn Full Card die to cut a panel from cardstock colored with Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed LemonadeSpiced Marmalade, and Picked Raspberry. I used the Big Thanks dies for the sentiment. I shared another card example created with the Marilyn Full Card in this post.

My next card uses the Spring Flower Burst stamp set on a panel colored with Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry. I stamped the flower cluster from the set several times and added a few of the individual flowers to fill the space. I added Flickering Butterflies, cut from cardstock colored with the same Distress Oxide inks, and a heat-embossed sentiment. I shared another card example created with the Spring Flower Burst in this post

For my final card, I used the You Are My Sunshine die to create a sentiment to pair with flowers and leaves cut with the Radiant Sunflower die set from cardstock colored with Squeezed LemonadeSpiced Marmalade  and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks. The card background was colored with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink.

Simon Says Stamp SENDING SUNSHINE Release

Hello! Today, I’m delighted to be sharing four projects featuring products from the Simon Says Stamp SENDING SUNSHINE release.

Simon Says Stamp SENDING SUNSHINE Release

My first card showcases the Marilyn Full Card die–elegant and on-trend! I used the die to create an A2-sized overlay and adhered it on top of a cardstock panel, which I had colored with Cracked PistachioPeacock Feathers, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks. I used the Big Thanks dies to create the sentiment.

My next project combines a Playful Messages sentiment with images stamped with the previously released Fingerprint Doodles set.

My next card is all about the sunshine! I die-cut the You Are My Sunshine sentiment from cardstock which I had colored with Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade. I stamped an image from the Spring Flower Burst stamp set in black ink on either side of a masked portion (there is a coordinating die set for this stamp set as well). I adhered the sentiment in the area I had masked.

For my final card, I used the Star Stream die to add interest on the background of a friendship, encouragement, or graduation card (with a masculine feel), on which I included a Seeing Stars sentiment with die-cut pieces cut with the Space Journey set from cardstock in the Rainbow Pack.

The Adventure Begins – a Die-Cut Camping Scene

Hello! Today I am sharing a camping scene in which I have combined the Spellbinders Camping die set with a sentiment in the Hero Arts The Adventure Begins stamp set. With warmer weather here in the PNW, my thoughts turn to outside adventures.

To create the sky, I inked white cardstock with Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber and Blueprint Sketch. I then added Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink to darken the sky.

The back row of trees was cut with the Poppystamps Pine Tree Border from black cardstock. The tent was cut from Chili Pepper cardstock and Taylored Expressions Earl Grey cardstock. I trimmed away the tent portion of the piece I cut from the gray cardstock. I cut the ground (using the MFT Snow Drifts die set) and the trees (included in the Spellbinders Camping die set) from Lawn Fawn Noble Fir cardstock. I cut the lantern from TE Silver Foil Cardstock and added a tiny circle cut from TE Potato Chip cardstock.

The sentiment was stamped on a panel of Taylored Expressions Toffee cardstock from which I cut the circle in the center to create a frame. The card base was created with Lawn Fawn Blue Jay cardstock.

Lawn Fawn Foxes

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS “just because” card created with a combination of Lawn Fawn products.

Lawn Fawn Fox Family

I stamped the fox images from Mom + Me, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them with their corresponding dies.

I recently bought a rainbow pack of Lawn Fawn cardstock, along with several packages of neutrals. I cut the card base from Paper Bag cardstock using the Woodgrain Backdrop. I cut the background for the scene from Mermaid cardstock using the Cloud Backdrop. (I absolutely love these backdrop dies!) I then used a square die to cut the cloud piece to the size I needed. I cut the grass from Noble Fir cardstock with one of the Meadow Borders dies and the same square die. I framed the scene with white cardstock cut with a die in the Outside In Stitched Scalloped Square Stackables set. I heat-embossed the sentiment on Black Licorice cardstock and cut it with a die in the Extra Sentiment Banners set.

Simon Says Stamp LOVE Release

Hello! Today, I’m delighted to be sharing a CAS friendship/encouragement card created with the Simon Says Stamp Happy Clouds die as part of their LOVE release!

Simon Says Stamp Happy Clouds

I die-cut the Happy Clouds and backed them with black cardstock. I added a little color to the cheeks of two of the clouds with a Copic marker. I set those aside and stamped the sentiment from the You Got This set (lots of great sentiments for all sorts of occasions) on to a inked panel, (created with Distress  Oxide inks in Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, and Peacock Feathers). Before adding the clouds to the panel, I applied BoBunny Sugar Glitter Paste to the background through the smallest raindrops on the Raindrops stencil.

Once the raindrops were dry, I added the clouds, popping up two of them with foam adhesive. For subtle texture, the card base was die-cut with the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop.

Thanks for visiting today!
