Spellbinders | Duck with Umbrella

Hello! I am sharing a “hello” card created with several Spellbinders supplies including the cute Duck with Umbrella die set, part of the Showered with Love Collection.

Create background by adding a 1-1/2 inch of dark gray cardstock to patterned paper (I used a paper from an Echo Park pad that I had in my stash). Add to A2-size card base. (I first tried a background without a defined ground; it left the duck floating in space.)
Cut Duck with Umbrella from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble. (After I had the duck assembled, I realized I had dressed him like Paddington Bear!)
Stamp I’ve Got You Covered sentiment on Snowdrift and cut with one of the On Cloud Nine dies. Cut additional clouds.
Add elements to background, using foam adhesive on duck and sentiment cloud.

Spellbinders | Hearts and Mugs

Hello! Today I am sharing a birthday card created with small die-cuts, cut with Spellbinders dies. The card uses one of my favorite design principles – repetition. The same design could easily be used for a friendship card or Valentine.

Glimmer foil the Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments sentiment in Gold on a Snowdrift cardstock panel. Trim as necessary and add to A2-size card base.
With Tiered Tray Décor die, cut mugs from navy, Pink Sand, green, Snowdrift, and Raindrop cardstock.
With heart die in the Parcel & Post Heart Decorations set, cut hearts from navy, Pink Sand, green, Snowdrift, and Raindrop cardstock.
Adhere hearts to mugs. Add mugs to card panel with foam adhesive.

Spellbinders | Eight Point Star Quilt Square

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS friendship-themed card showcasing the Filigree Eight Point Star die set, part of the Home Sweet Quilt Collection by Becca Feeken at Spellbinders. Cut frame from Snowdrift cardstock with dies in the Filigree Eight Point Star set. Adhere the four frame sections together and back assembly with a 4-inch square piece of cardstock.
Cut star pieces from patterned paper and add to frame.
Stamp Quilty Hugs sentiment in black on a 5-inch square Glacier cardstock panel. Add quilt square and adhere assembly to card base.

Spellbinders | Layered Windmill Quilt Square

Hello! Today I am sharing a friendship-themed card showcasing the Layered Windmill die set, part of the Home Sweet Quilt Collection by Becca Feeken at Spellbinders. I have shared projects created with the collection here and here.

Dry-emboss Chamomile cardstock with the Orange Peel Quilt folder. Cut with the Layered Windmill outline piece.
Cut Snowdrift cardstock with the Layered Windmill frame and outline pieces. Save the center square and four small triangles. Back with dry-embossed piece.
With the Layered Windmill frame, cut Raindrop, navy, and medium blue cardstock. Adhere die-cut pieces, including the reserved Snowdrift ones, into frame.
Add assembly to textured, white cardstock base measuring 5 1/2 inches square.
Stamp sentiment in navy ink with stamp in the Quilty Hugs Sentiments set. Cut with banner die and add to card center with foam adhesive.

Spellbinders | January 2023 Clubs Inspiration Blog Hop

My floral friendship card showcases blooms created with the Large Die of the Month set planted in a pot cut from Brushed Gold with a die in the Happy Plant die set. I glimmer-foiled a sentiment in Gold using a plate in the Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments set. The Glacier background was dry-embossed with the Intertwined Lattice folder. I added Gold Mix Gems for embellishment.

To play on the plant theme of the Quick & Easy Card Kit, I created a greenhouse (draw freehand or create with a drawing program). I cut the greenhouse and adhered it to a textured white card base. I added the elements to the scene using foam adhesive for extra dimension for some of the elements. I added a sentiment and enamel dots included in the kit.
