Neat + Tangled – Go Wild

Hello! I’m sharing another card featuring the Neat and Tangled Wild Ones set. (I shared one here as part of Neat and Tangled’s 5th birthday.)

Neat and Tangled Wild Ones

I used the smooshing method to add Distress Oxide Orange Marmalade ink to Canson watercolor paper. Once dry, I stamped the giraffe image. I then added color for the spots, nose, ears, and mane with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. I also used the smooshing technique on the background with Distress Oxide Broken China ink. The grass, on which I stamped the sentiment from the set, was colored with Mowed Lawn Distress ink and cut with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die. I dry-embossed the background with a Sizzix woodgrain embossing folder.

Taylored Expressions – Cactus Apology Card

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS punny apology card created with Taylored Expressions products.

I stamped and watercolored the images from Lookin’ Sharp Stamp & Die Combo. Once dry, I cut the images with their coordinating dies. I cut a ledge with Sitting Pretty which I shortened to fit the space. I applied the Broken China Distress Oxide ink behind the area where the cacti would be placed. The punny sentiment was cut with a die in the Banner Stacklets 4 set.

Lawn Fawn – Happy Hello

Hello! This past week, I saw the first leaf of the season fall, and I have heard that Starbucks will soon be serving Pumpkin Spice Lattes! I figured I needed to share any remaining summer-themed cards before we move completely into the fall and holiday seasons! My card features the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You set.

I stamped and Copic-colored the mermaid images, cutting them with their corresponding dies. I used Distress Oxide inks to stamp the underwater foliage. The background was created using the smooshing technique on Canson watercolor paper.

Let It Snow – Merry Monday Christmas Challenge Summer Link-up

Hello! I’m still playing along with the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge Summer Link-up (sadly, this challenge no longer is existence) with a CAS snow/ski-themed card featuring the Elizabeth Crafts’ Skis die set.

Merry Monday Christmas Summer Link-up

I began by die-cutting and assembling the skis and poles. I added Vintage Photo Distress ink to the skis for a little bit more color. I stamped the Hero Arts Let It Snow sentiment on white cardstock, which I die-cut with the mountain die in the Elizabeth Crafts’ Skis die set. I dry-embossed the MFT Stamps Timber Green cardstock base with the Taylored Expressions Cable Knit embossing folder for texture.

Merry Monday Challenge – Stenciled Snow-Covered Evergreen Trees

Hello! I’m playing along with the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge Summer Link-up with a CAS card featuring the Stamper’s Anonymous Tim Holtz Woodland stencil.

Merry Monday Challenge Summer Link-Up

It took me a couple of tries to create this design. To begin, I stamped the Christmas Messages sentiment in Memento Luxe Love Letter ink on the white cardstock panel.

The Tim Holtz Woodland stencil includes two evergreen trees, each with a snow overlay. I started with the taller tree, as it is in the background, by inking it with Distress Oxide Iced Spruce and then with Unicorn White pigment ink. Once dry, I inked the two smaller trees with a combination of Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles followed by Unicorn White pigment ink. To finish off the card, I added a star die-cut from Gold Leaf Cardstock to one of the trees. The card base evergreen cardstock was cut from a 12″ x 12″ Bazzill piece I had in my stash.
