Spellbinders | November 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS card showcasing the Spellbinders November 2022 Embossing Folder “Fan Motif.” This embossing folder lends itself number of occasions; I paired it with a silhouette Christmas tree to create a holiday card.

Dry-emboss Brushed Gold cardstock with the November 2022 Embossing Folder. Trim and mat with Mirror Gold cardstock. Add to card base.
Use the die in the Blooming Tree set to cut the tree from green cardstock.
Cut sentiment from Gold Glitter Foam with the Classic Happy Holidays set and add to tree.
Embellish tree with Red Mix Gems and star.
Add assembled tree to the card with foam adhesive.

Spellbinders | Christmas Retro Television

Hello! I am delighted to share a Christmas card created with the Retro Television, part of the 3D Vignette Collection by Becca Feeken at Spellbinders. I shared a 3D project with this set in this blog post. This time I am using the television as a focal point on a holiday card without creating a 3D project.

Dry-emboss a 5 x 7 inches Pomegranate cardstock panel with the Puff Dotty folder.
Print television image (sized for the tv). I used a photo of Santa in a local parade.
Cut Retro Television from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble, using the Santa photo as the screen. Note: I simplified the front panel and left off the smallest knobs.
Glimmer foil Joyful Sentiments in Red on Snowdrift cardstock; cut with coordinating die.
Add television, sentiment, and snowflakes, cut with dies in the Chill Bear, Let It Snowman, and Holiday Decorations sets, to the card base.

Spellbinders | Let It Snowman Trio

Hello! Today I am sharing a trio of winter-themed cards suitable for Christmas and/or winter birthdays created with the Let It Snowman die set from the Spellbinders Christmas Flourish Collection by Becca Feeken and the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder. Everything you need to make a card is included in the Let It Snowman set – frame, focal image, and two sentiment options. I previously shared a card created with the set in this post. Dry-emboss card backgrounds from Waterfall, Lilac Blossom, and Raindrop cardstock with the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder.
Cut Let It Snowman frames, snowflakes, sentiments, and snowmen from shiny black cardstock (hats), Snowdrift, Persimmon (noses), Lilac Blossom, Teal Topaz, and Royal Amethyst cardstock. Back snowman faces with Onyx and bellies with Royal Amethyst, Cosmic Sky, and Brushed Silver cardstock. Decorate the hats with the scarf neckband (fussy cut to fit). Assemble snowmen and sentiments.
Cut snowbank from Snowdrift cardstock with die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Trim and add to back of frame. Add assemblies to card bases.
Add snowman, sentiment, and snowflakes to scenes.
Embellish with Crystal Gems.

Spellbinders | Tiered Tray for Christmas

Hello! I am delighted to share a holiday card created with products from the on-trend Tiered Tray Collection by Becky Roberts at Spellbinders.

As I previously mentioned in this post, decorating the two-dimensional tray is like decorating a real tiered tray – add anchor pieces on the shelves on opposite sides for balance, add smaller pieces to create symmetry, fill empty spots, and add sprigs of greenery.

Glimmer foil Joyful Christmas Sentiments in red foil on Snowdrift cardstock.
Dry-emboss Cosmic Sky cardstock with the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D folder, trim to A2-size, and add to card base.
Cut Tiered Tray from Brushed Silver cardstock and add distress ink to add dimension. Cut top of tray from Onyx cardstock. Assemble.
Cut Tiered Tray Décor pieces from Snowdrift, Onyx, and colored cardstock, shade with ink, and assemble as required. I used a chalk pencil to color in the stripes on the gnome’s hat. Add décor to tray.
Add decorated tray assembly to dry-embossed background. Adhere sentiment with foam adhesive. Embellish with snowflakes cut with dies in the Holiday Decorations and Chill Bear sets.

Spellbinders | October 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS holiday card featuring the Spellbinders October 2022 Embossing Folder “Scattered Christmas.” I previously shared a 3D Christmas project created with the embossing folder and the Large Die of the Month “Stitched Ornament & Display.”

Dry-emboss Brushed Gold cardstock with Embossing Folder “Scattered Christmas.” Cut to A2 size and adhere to card base.
Glimmer foil Glitter Wishes sentiment in Gold on Snowdrift cardstock and cut with coordinating die.
With Essential Diamonds dies, cut diamonds from Snowdrift, Mirror Gold, and Onyx cardstock. Add diamonds to dry-embossed background.
With Sweet Birdie die, cut pieces from Snowdrift, Brushed Gold, Brushed Silver, and Onyx cardstock; assemble.
Cut foliage from Snowdrift and silver foil cardstock with dies in the Large Die of the Month set.
Add bird, foliage, and sentiment to card.
