Spellbinders | March 2022 Clubs Blog Hop

Hello! I am delighted to be participating in a blog hop celebrating the Spellbinders March 2022 Club Subscriptions. You should have reached me from the blog of Jill Hilliard. (The entire list of participants is included at the end of my post.) For the hop, I created a spring-themed card with this month’s Large Die of the Month kit “Kaleidoscope Floral Slimline” and a tag with the Embossing Folder Kit Club “Garden Path.”

  • Spellbinders | March 2022 Clubs Blog HopI die-cut the flowers with both of the petal flower dies in the Large Die of the Month kit from five different colored cardstock colors.
  • To save time, I die-cut the floral centers from Snowdrift cardstock using the Kaleidoscope Argyle set, which has a die that cuts 15 circles at once.
  • I glimmer-foiled in Matte Gold on an A2-size Snowdrift card base a sentiment from the Sentiments for Everyday set.
  • I assembled the flowers and then glued them on to the card base.

I couldn’t resist using the sweet Open House Spring bunny on a tag dry-embossed with the Embossing Folder Die of the Month.

Spellbinders | March 2022 Large Die of the Month

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a slimline, die-cut card created with the Spellbinders March 2022 Large Die of the Month “Kaleidoscope Floral Slimline.” Read more about this month’s club membership here.

Spellbinders | March 2022 Large Die of the Month

This set contains six dies with which to create the base layer and details. On my card, I chose a palette of spring colors.

Spellbinders | March 2022 Large Die of the Month

  • I die-cut the Large Die of the Month base piece from Snowdrift cardstock.
  • With the same set, I die-cut the kaleidoscope flowers and other flowers from Snowdrift and colored cardstock and assembled the pieces with glue.
  • I inlaid portions of the base piece with colored cardstock and added floss to the stems.
  • I adhered the floral assembly to a slimline-sized light blue card base.
  • I glimmer foiled a sentiment in Lavender Petal with the Sentiments for Everyday set and die-cut it with a corresponding die in the set.
  • I added the sentiment to the completed card with foam adhesive.

Feb 2022 Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Hello crafty friends! I’m delighted to share a friendship/encouragement card created with the Spellbinders February 2022 Large Die of the Month “Typing Class.” I have also used this month’s Embossing Folder Kit Club “Sketched Floral” for the card background. For a cheerful vibe, I selected bright colors.

Feb 2022 Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

  • I die-cut and assembled the typewriter.
  • I die-cut and assembled the kit’s flowers and foliage.
  • I die-cut the kit’s sentiment pieces and sized the note in the platen accordingly, which I cut in a paper trimmer.
  • I glimmer-foiled the Mini Sincere Sentiments in Matte Silver and cut it using a banner die in the same set.
  • I added the assembled typewriter with foam adhesive to the dry-embossed background, tucking the foliage behind the note.

Spellbinders January 2022 Clubs Blog Hop

Spellbinders January 2022 Clubs Blog HopHello! I am delighted to be participating in a blog hop celebrating the Spellbinders January 2022 Club Subscriptions. You should have reached me from the blog of Kelly Taylor. (The entire list of participants is included at the end of my post.) For the hop, I created gift card holders with this month’s Large Die of the Month kit “A Pocket Full of Love.” I previously shared a card created with the same die set here.

Giveaway closes on Sunday, January 16, 11:59 pm MST. The winner will be announced in the blog hop post the following Wednesday. The winner is responsible for shipping cost, duties and taxes. For the gift card holders, I created the same design, varying the colors I used. This unique die set creates a pocket in which to place a note, a photo, a gift card, and more revealed by pulling up the heart.

  • Create A2-size card bases with the January 2022 Embossing Folder “Spreading Love.” Spellbinders launched the Embossing Folder Club on January 1, and the response has been so overwhelming this Club has sold out. This design may be brought back at a later time (check the “Past Clubs” section). Be sure to sign up for Clubs right away on the first of the month so as to not miss out on any future designs.
  • Create the pockets – die-cut, score on three sides – and adhere to dry-embossed backgrounds.
  • Die-cut solid hearts, detailed hearts, detailed pocket covers, and enclosure panel pieces. Assemble.
  • Glimmer foil the sentiments with the More Sentiments set in silver and cut with a die in the Mini Sincere Sentiments set.
