Spellbinders Small Die Kit – Sneaking a Kiss

Happy December! I am delighted to share a Valentine’s Day card featuring the Spellbinders December Small Die of the Month Club Kit – “Sneaking a Kiss.” Send this love-themed card to a friend or Valentine.

Please note, in terms of the club subscriptions at Spellbinders: the sign-up window for new subscriptions now opens on the 6th of each month and closes on the 27th (once existing club members subscriptions have been processed). If there is additional inventory remaining, it will be made available for new subscriptions with limited availability.

Dry-emboss A2-size panel of Chamomile cardstock with the Tiny Dots embossing folder. Add to a card base with the debossed side facing up.
With dies in the Small Die of the Month set, cut the umbrella, girl, and boy from cardstock. Assemble. Add white dimensional enamel dots to the umbrella. Attach the umbrella over the girl and boy. Embellish with hearts cut with dies in the Small Die of the Month set.
Cut the sentiment strips from navy cardstock using dies in the Small Die of the Month set. Glue to the bottom of the card base.
Add the umbrella assembly to the card.

Spellbinders | Build a Card Hello

Hello! I am delighted to share a “Hello” card featuring this month’s Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club Kit – “Build a Card Hello.” This handmade card, crafted with die-cuts and a dry-embossed background, can be sent for any number of occasions.

- Dry-emboss an A2-size panel of light-green cardstock with the Scattered Fall folder. (The folder was released September 2022 to Embossing Folder of the Month Club members.) Add to card base.
- With a die in the Small Die of the Month set, cut the floral outline twice from Snowdrift cardstock. Cut again from Fern, Terra Cotta, and navy cardstock. Use the inlay technique to fill the large bloom and leaves.
- Add assemblies to the top and bottom of the card background.
- Cut sentiment from navy cardstock and glitter foam (glitter side down). Attach together and add to the card base center.
- Cut additional pieces from Snowdrift cardstock and attach to the card background.

Duplicating Holiday Magic | Spellbinders October 2023 Small Die Kit Club

Hello and “Ho! Ho! Ho”! In the world of holiday paper crafting, there’s something magical about taking a single die set and creating variations. Today, I am showcasing the adorable Spellbinders Small Die of the Month kit titled “Big Jolly Santa.” This Santa is a standout that nicely fills an A2-size card. Keep reading for directions on how to make the two cards. You can also head HERE for a tutorial on how to use the set.

- To begin, create card front from Brushed Silver cardstock OR cut patterned paper (older Christmas paper from Echo Park in my stash). Add to A2-size card base.
- With the largest die in the Stylish Ovals set, cut Waterfall cardstock and dry-emboss with the Flurry of Snowflakes folder OR cut oval from patterned paper (flip side of the Echo Park Christmas paper used for the card front).
- Die-cut Santa pieces with the Small Die of the Month set from a variety of cardstock materials. Cardstock in the Crushed Velvet Assortment pack was used for the Santa on the Waterfall background. Assemble. Add enamel dots for buttons. I used a Uni-Ball Signo Broad Point Gel Impact Pen White to create the catchlights in the eyes.
- With dies in the Small Die of the Month set, cut sentiment sign from Brushed Gold cardstock OR heat-emboss sentiment in the Big Jolly Santa Sentiments set on Teal Topaz cardstock and cut with the banner die.
- Cut Glitter Foam OR Snowdrift cardstock with snowline die in the Camper Life set. Cut snow with largest die in the Stylish Ovals set and adhere to the oval background.
- Adhere Santas to cards. Embellish with snowflakes cut from Glitter Foam.

With just different cardstock colors and background choices, the feeling of the card changes!

Spellbinders | Nature’s Hike Bouquet Card

Hello sweater weather! Step into the beauty of fall with the September Spellbinders Small Die of the Month – “Hiking Through the Meadows.” With this unique die set, craft a pair of hiking boots that hold a vibrant bouquet.

Color Specialty Cardstock with a variety of Distress Oxide inks.
With the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month set, cut the boots, leaves, and flowers from the ink-colored cardstock; assemble as required. When assembling the boots, make sure that the top portion is open enough for the elements. Cut the “Yay Fall” sign with dies in the Large Die of the Month set. I shared a card created with the Large Die of the Month set in this post.
Add elements to an A2-sized card base covered with patterned paper from the Cozy Autumn pack.

Breezy Swing | Spellbinders August 2023 Small Die of the Month

Hello and happy August! I am delighted to share a card created with the Spellbinders August 2023 Small Die of the Month kit titled “Breezy Swing.” With this 15-piece die set, you can create a card suitable for a variety of occasions. Find more details and inspiration on the Spellbinders blog HERE.

I chose teal, dark orange, and yellow-gold cardstock colors to represent the change of seasons, from summer to fall in the Northern Hemisphere. The warm tones of orange and yellow evoke the anticipation of autumn’s golden hues.

To begin, dry-emboss Beeswax cardstock with Tiny Dots embossing folder and trim to A2-size; add to card base.
Next, cut Small Die of the Month pieces from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble.
Next, glimmer foil the sentiment from Sentiments for Everyday in teal on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut sentiment with On Cloud Nine die and cut additional clouds.
Finally, add the card elements to the dry-embossed base by adhering the woman on the swing assembly and clouds. Finish by embellishing with floral clusters.
