Spellbinders | April 2022 Large Die of the Month

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a large, camera-themed card created with the Spellbinders April 2022 Large Die of the Month – “Say Cheese” – suitable for many occasions, including a birthday.

With the Large Die of the Month set, cut camera, flash, flowers, and sentiment from a variety of cardstock colors including Onyx and Brushed Silver. Assemble.
Dry-emboss yellow card panel measuring 5 x 7 inches with the “Radiant Burst” folder. Add to card base.
Add assembled camera to card background and embellish with Silver Mix Gems.

Designer Tip: Want to make a smaller and/or simpler card? Leave off the flash portion.

Spellbinders | CAS Rainbow Card

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS card created with Spellbinders supplies, suitable for many occasions including friendship and congratulations.

Stencil Squeezed Lemonade ink through the Sun Burst stencil on to a white, A2-size panel, masked to 3.75 x 5 inches
To create the rainbow, apply Distress Oxide inks to white cardstock and cut with die in the Colorblock Circles & Stripes set; assemble.
Stamp Open Road Sentiments sentiment and cut with On Cloud Nine die. Cut additional clouds with the same set.
Add clouds and rainbow to stenciled panel.

Spellbinders | Spring Into Stitching

Hello! Today I am sharing a stitched card which features a new die set that is part of the Spring Into Stitching Collection at Spellbinders. This card would be appropriate for a number of occasions including Mother’s Day.

Create light-blue card base.
Cut stitching panel with the Stitched Petal Frame die from Snowdrift cardstock.
Stitch in a variety of floss colors with size 22 needle.
Glue stitched panel to card base.
Glimmer-foil Celebrate You sentiment in Lavender Petal on Snowdrift cardstock.
Cut sentiment with 1 inch circle die and add to center of card with glue.

Spellbinders | Open Road Collection

Hello! I am delighted to introduce the Open Road Collection at Spellbinders with which I created a mini-slimline Congratulations card, suitable for a variety of occasions including graduation, a new job, or a promotion. The focal point – the car and balloons – was created with the Open Road die set.

Place Sun Burst Stencil on mini-slimline card base. Mask stencil at horizon line. Apply Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink through the stencil.
Mask sun burst portion and apply Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink below the horizon line.
Paint Bristol cardstock with acrylic paints. Once dry, cut three balloons with dies in the Open Road set and glue crochet string to the backs
Cut car pieces with Open Road die set from silver foil, Brushed Silver, Onyx, shiny black, orange, red, and yellow cardstock. Assemble.
Stamp Open Road Sentiments on Snowdrift cardstock and cut with On Cloud Nine dies.
Add car to scene with foam adhesive. Place balloon strings through the piece on the back of the car. Secure with glue and trim ends.
Add clouds to scene, popping up the largest one with foam adhesive.

Spellbinders | Paint Your World Collection

Hello! I am delighted to share a slimline card featuring products from the just-released Paint Your World Collection at Spellbinders. I combined the Painted Blooms die set with the collection’s stamp set. I knew right away that I wanted to use paint on this project.

Paint Bristol cardstock with acrylic paint in a variety of colors for the leaves, paint brush, and blooms.
While the painted cardstock dries, cut the brush bristles (several times) and handle tip from Snowdrift cardstock with the Painted Blooms die set. Apply VersaMark to the pieces and clear emboss them.
Cut the paint brush band from silver foil cardstock.
When the painted cardstock is dry, cut the leaves, blooms, and brush. Cut the brush again from thin balsa wood.
Glue the paint bristles and leaves to the balsa wood structure. Glue the foil band and handle tip to the painted brush. Glue the assembly to the balsa wood.
Stamp the Paint Your World sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black ink on a slimline-size, light blue, cardstock base.
Adhere paint brush to card base. Glue flowers and centers together and add to card.
