Coastal Charm with Lawn Fawn

Hello! One of the things I love most about crafting cards is the ability to construct scenes that invite me to step right in. Embrace the coastal vibes on this Lawn Fawn beach-themed card.

- To create the background, cut light yellow cardstock with the largest die in the Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basics set. Add cloud texture with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Cloud Backdrop – Landscape die. Note: given the size of the card, only a landscape-sized backdrop would work.
- Cut Lawn Fawn Kraft cardstock with dies in the Stitched Hillside Borders. Cut ocean wave with die in the Ocean Wave Borders set from Teal Topaz cardstock, and again with the largest die in the 5 x 7 Matting Basics set. Assemble sand dunes and cut with the largest die in the 5 x 7 Matting Basics set. Add wave and sand dunes to the cloud background; add assembly to a 5 x 7 card base.
- Cut house from a variety of cardstock colors with the Build-A-House Beach Add-On and Build-A-House die sets. Assemble.
- Cut palms with dies in the Tropical Backdrop set. Assemble.
- Cut seagull with die in the Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add-On set. Lawn Fawn adds a lot of wonderful dies to their scene building sets; I have reached for this seagull on a number of occasions.
- Cut crab with die in the Palm Trees set.
- Cut clouds with the Simple Puffy Cloud Frames.
- Cut sentiment with dies in the Speech Bubbles set. Glue to cloud.
- Add clouds, house, palm trees, seagull, and crab to the scene using dot adhesive and foam adhesive for dimension.

Lawn Fawn | Seaside Escape

Hello! I am delighted to share a seaside-themed card featuring the recently released Lawn Fawn Build-A-House – Beach Add-On die set. Picture a charming Robin’s Egg Blue beach house, adorned with pristine white trim and delicate coral accents. The card reflects the charm of the coastal lifestyle.

With the Build-A-House and Build-A-House – Beach Add-On sets, I cut the house pieces. Although I had envisioned a tropical setting, the colors of the assembled house suggested something more subtle. You can see a tropical beach house scene HERE.
Next, I stamped the Car Critters Road Trip Add-On sentiment “Adventure Awaits” on Kraft cardstock, cutting the stamped panel with a die in the Stitched Hillside Borders set. I cut additional dunes using a different die in the same set and a die in the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders set. I cut the wave from darker teal cardstock using a die in the Ocean Wave Borders set.
To embellish, using the Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add-On set, I cut the seagull from white and light gray cardstock. I colored the beak and legs with a Copic marker (Y38). With the Simple Puffy Cloud Frames I cut two clouds to embellish the scene.

Hello! I am sharing a 4th of July card that features two whimsical gnomes, dressed in patriotic colors, and an array of sparkling stars adding a touch of magic. The gnomes were originally part of a Spellbinders die set released during the Christmas season. By repurposing the gnomes, I showcase their ability to bring joy and celebration to any occasion, be it Christmas or the 4th of July! - Create A2-size background from Sea Glass cardstock. Add strips of tan and Cosmic Sky cardstock to bottom to resemble sand and sea.
- Cut fence with Build a Spring Birdhouse die from Snowdrift cardstock, twice. Add to scene.
- Cut birdhouse with Build a Summer Birdhouse. To customize, fussy-cut the top and doors of the birdhouse in a different color cardstock. Assemble birdhouse and add to scene.
- Cut bird with Sweet Birds on a Branch dies; assemble and add with foam adhesive.
- Stamp I’ve Got You Covered sentiment in navy ink on Snowdrift cardstock and cut with die in the On Cloud Nine set. Cut additional cloud.
- Cut seagulls from gray cardstock with die in the Build a Summer Birdhouse and add to scene.
