Lawn Fawn Beach Hut

Hello! Today I am sharing a beach-themed die-cut card created with Lawn Fawn products.

Lawn Fawn Beach Hut

I imagined a beach hut in the Caribbean and chose tropical colors for the door, shutters, background, and palm fronds. Having made this one, I may make a more New England-style house next (without the palm trees!).

The trickiest part of the construction was the creation of the sand hill, on which I heat-embossed the sentiment. The trick was to cut it so that it covered the right amount of the palm frame piece but not too much of the hut.

The hut pieces are part of the Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add-On set. I didn’t use the Lawn Fawn Treat Box set (which I do not own) for the base; instead, I cut the hut with a square die (which I dry-embossed).

Happy Hedgehog – Grown with Love

Hello! Today I am sharing a Copic-colored hedgehog card created with Penny Black supplies.

Happy Hedgehog - Grown with Love

  • I stamped the hedgehog (isn’t he the cutest?!) from 30-708 Plant Joy and colored the image with Copic markers.
  • I stamped and fussy-cut the same image on a sticky note to mask the image. With the mask in place, I applied Distress Oxide inks for the sky and the grass.
  • I stamped the sentiment from 30-713 Grown with Love directly on the image.
  • I cut a frame using a die in the 51-636 Dainty Dashes Stackers and cut the image to the same size. I glued the frame to the image.
  • I added the framed image to a background covered with patterned paper from the Great Escape pad.

Spellbinders/FSJ – Make a Splash

Hello! Today I’m sharing a card in which I envision a summer day at the pool (let’s imagine a post-pandemic day!) with new products from Spellbinders/FSJ. Growing up, I spent many a carefree, summer day at our local pool.

Spellbinders/FSJ - Make a Splash

  • I die-cut the pool, pool ladder, and umbrellas with dies in the Pool With a View set. I added enamel dots to the tops of the umbrellas.
  • I stamped, colored, and fussy-cut two images from the Make a Splash set.
  • I stamped the Make a Splash sentiment and cut it with a circle die.
  • I dry-embossed the card background with the Bright Days folder.
  • I added the pieces to the scene with dot and foam adhesive.

Spellbinders Foiled Nautical Thank You

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS card showcasing a foiled sentiment from the Spellbinders Stylish Script Collection.

Spellbinders Foiled Nautical Thank You

I paired the foiled Thank You sentiment with ovals cut using dies in the Elegant Twist Ovals set. I previously shared a card created with this same die set here.

To create a nautical-themed Thank You:

  • Foil the sentiment on Whip Cream cardstock in Gold.
  • Cut the Elegant Twist Ovals frames from Brush Gold cardstock.
  • With dies in the set, cut an oval from Whip Cream cardstock; adhere to the back of the larger gold twist oval.
  • With a die in the set, cut the foiled sentiment cardstock; adhere the smaller gold twist oval on top.
  • Add the ovals to a card base covered with Carta Bella paper; add nautical stickers (Paper House Productions “At the Beach”) for embellishment.

Note: the card is slightly larger than A2.

Spellbinders – Destination Japan Collection

Hello! Today I am sharing an easy-to-create, CAS card showcasing the Spellbinders Pagoda die set, part of the Destination Japan collection by Lene Lok. I shared another card from this collection here.

Spellbinders - Destination Japan Collection

  • I foiled a sentiment from the More Sentiments set in Matte Gold on Whip Cream cardstock and cut as a thin strip.
  • The Pagoda set includes four pieces. I cut the body and top of the pagoda with the outline and detail dies from Brush Gold cardstock.
  • I cut the body and top again with just the outline dies from Candy Apple cardstock.
  • I cut thin strips of Whip Cream cardstock which I adhered behind the windows of the pagoda.
  • I adhered the gold top and body to the red carstock and attached the pieces together.
  • The card base background is a sheet from the MFT Woodgrain Whimsy paper pad.
  • I added the sentiment to the lower portion of the pagoda.
