Spellbinders Large Die June 2020 – Geometrical Floral Frames

Hello!  Today I am sharing a CAS friendship card created with the June Large Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders – “Geometrical Floral Frames.” (Edited: This die set is no longer available.)

On my card, I used one of the frames in the set along with the flowers and foliage.

  • I heat-embossed the sentiment on deep blue cardstock.
  • I cut the frame from gold foil.
  • I cut the greenery from SU Cucumber Crush (now retired) and vellum. I cut the flowers from yellow, red, and white, and their centers from gold foil.
  • I glued the foliage and flowers to the frame. I used flowers to cover the junction points for the foliage.
  • I glued the frame to the card base.
  • I added flat sequins in several sizes to the card to fill in the “white space.”

Penny Black – Hope Blooms

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS encouragement or friendship card created with Penny Black supplies. Despite the pandemic (our state is under stay-at-home orders until early May), the flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and the sun is out.

Penny Black - Hope Blooms

    • I stamped a sentiment from the #30-703 Blooming Sentiments set in black ink on blue cardstock and cut the panel with a 3 1/2″ square die.
    • I cut the tree and flowers with the #51-596 Bird and Branch set. I adhered the tree to the square and trimmed as necessary. I added the flowers with glue.
    • I die-cut the birds using the #51-094 Tweets and #51-050 Tweet Things sets and added them to the panel with foam adhesive.
    • The 4 1/4″ square card base is Bazzill Orange Peel cardstock.

We’re in this together! Stay safe!

Lawn Fawn Hello Spring

Hello! Today I am sharing an Easter-/spring-scene created with Lawn Fawn supplies. It’s a sunny day here in the Pacific Northwest.

Lawn Fawn Hello Spring

  • I die-cut the pieces using the Build-A-House, Build-A-House Christmas (door), and the Scalloped Treat Box Spring Add-On die sets. I assembled the house and tree with glue.
  • I stamped the sentiment (masking part of it) on to white cardstock and cut it with the medium-sized  cloud die. I also cut a cloud with the largest die in the same set.
  • I added a 3/4″ Field Day (green) cardstock strip to the Sea Glass (light blue) card base. Note: the card base is 5 1/2″ wide by 4 3/4″ tall to accommodate the height of the house. (The house can be assembled to be shorter by placing the roof lower and the bottom board higher.)
  • I attached the assembled pieces with dot roller and foam adhesive to the base.

Lawn Fawn Spring House

Hello! Today I am sharing a spring-themed card created with a variety of Lawn Fawn supplies.

Lawn Fawn Spring House
It was a lot of fun choosing colors for the spring-themed house. I used a number of die sets to construct the background. It was a bit tricky trimming off the frame of the Leafy Tree Background!

Hope there are signs of spring in your part of the world (Northern Hemisphere that is).

Hello! Today I am sharing a winter-themed friendship card featuring the retired Elizabeth Craft Designs “Birds” die set paired with a Paper Smooches sentiment from the “Winter Sampler” set.

Elizabeth Craft Designs - Die-cut Winter Birds

  • I die-cut the pieces from cardstock, patterned paper, and flock material and assembled the birds.
  • I stamped the Winter Sampler sentiment on to cardstock which I cut with a skinny rectangular die.
  • I cut the turquoise circles and added them and the sentiment strip to a patterned paper base.
  • I added the assembled birds with foam adhesive.
