Repetition in Design: Trio of Tropical Birds

Hello! Today I am sharing another card created with the Small Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders – “Tropical Friends.” I previously shared a card created with the kit HERE. On this card, I am embracing the design principle of repetition. Note: the sign-up window for new club subscriptions closes on the 27th.

- Dry-emboss a 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (slimline size) Peridot cardstock with the Puff Dotty folder. Add to card base.
- Press the Always and Forever sentiment with Cosmic Sky ink on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut with the die in the set. Add the sentiment to the card front with foam adhesive.
- Cut birds and foliage with the Small Die of the Month kit from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble. Add elements to card front with dot and foam adhesive.

Spellbinders | Tropical Friends

Hello! Inspired by the colors and the beauty of the tropics, I have crafted a friendship card with the Small Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders called “Tropical Friends.” This set includes some super cute tropical birds! - Dry-emboss a 3 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ (mini-slimline size) Chamomile cardstock with the Tiny Dots folder. Add to card base debossed side up.
- Press the Always and Forever sentiment with Mermaid Lagoon ink on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut with the die in the set. Add the sentiment to the center of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Cut birds and foliage with the Small Die of the Month kit from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble. Add elements to card front with dot and foam adhesive.

Spellbinders Stitching Friendship

Hello! Today, I am sharing a friendship card featuring a jar holding a miscellany of needlecraft supplies – scissors, a floss card, floss skein, thimble, buttons, needles – created with the Spellbinders April 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit, “Pins & Needles Jar.” Create a card for a different occasion by simply changing the sentiment!

- To create the card background, dry-emboss a 5″ x 7″ panel with the Tiny Dots folder. Add to a card base with debossed side face up.
- Cut Large Die of the Month Club Kit pieces from a variety of cardstock colors and patterned paper. Assemble as required.
- Add the assembled jar to the background. Fill with the assembled items.
- BetterPress the Always and Forever sentiment with Cosmic Sky ink on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut with the coordinating die. Add to the card by “pinning” it into the jar cushion.

Spring-Themed Window Scene

Hello! I am sharing a spring-themed friendship card featuring several Sunny Studio Stamps die sets. This scene captures the essence of the spring season with charming elements like window box flowers and garden tools. The sentiment “You Brighten My Day” encapsulates the joy and warmth this card aims to convey. I recently posted a round-up of spring-themed cards HERE.

- Dry-emboss A2-size Sea Glass cardstock with the Burlap folder. Add to the card base. Cut a strip of green cardstock to represent grass and add to the card base. (Alternatively, you could use a grass die to cut the top of this piece.)
- Cut the window, window box, and shutters from a variety of cardstock colors with the Wonderful Windows die set. Assemble. Back window with yellow cardstock. (I previously used the Wonderful Windows set on a card HERE.)
- Cut flowers, garden pots, and gardening tools with dies in the Spring Garden Dies set from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble.
- BetterPress the sentiment in Leaf ink with the Always and Forever Press Plate. Cut with coordinating die.
- Add window assembly, sentiment, flowers, pots, and garden tools to the card front, using foam adhesive where appropriate.

Spellbinders | Wise Owl Small Die

Hello! Today, I am sharing a congratulations card featuring a bespeckled owl and ornate book, created with the Spellbinders March 2024 Small Die of the Month Club Kit – “Wise Owl.” This card, with strong Harry Potter vibes, would be perfect to send for a graduation.

- Create A2-size card base from Graphite cardstock.
- Cut oval with die in the Essential Stylish Ovals set from yellow cardstock. (An arch shape would also work well.) Dry-emboss with the Deco Holiday folder. Attach to card base.
- Cut owl and book elements with the Small Die of the Month Club Kit from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble.
- Create sentiment with the Always and Forever Sentiment Strips set. Cut with coordinating die.
- Add sentiment and assembled owl and book to card front.
