Spellbinders | Layered Fleur Bouquet Slimlines Collection

Hello! Today I am sharing two takes with Spellbinders products to introduce the Layered Fleur Bouquet Slimlines Collection by Becca Feeken.

I used the Layered Cherry Blossoms set on an A2-size card and a mini slimline card. Let’s take a look!

To create the card shown on the right:

Dry-emboss A2-size panel of light teal with the Diamond Plaid embossing folder.
Cut Layered Cherry Blossoms from Snowdrift cardstock colored with Distress Oxide inks. Cut flower centers from gold foil cardstock. Assemble flowers; add flowers and leaves to branches. Add assembly to card background.
Foil sentiment in Gold with plate in the Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments set.
Embellish with Gold Mix gems.

Dry-emboss mini slimline-size background of lavender cardstock with the Diamond Plaid embossing folder.
Cut Layered Cherry Blossoms from Snowdrift cardstock. Cut flower centers from gold foil cardstock. Assemble flowers; add flowers and leaves to branches. Add assembly to card background.
Foil sentiment in Gold with plate in the Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments set.
Embellish with Spectrum AB gems.

Spellbinders | April 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month

Hello! I’m sharing a CAS, mini-slimline card created with the Spellbinders April 2022 Embossing Folder Kit Club “Radiant Burst.”

Stencil ink through Sun Burst stencil on to Snowdrift cardstock. Rotate stencil and add a different ink. Repeat until panel is filled the desired amount. Cut panel with largest die in the Mini Slimline A set.
Dry-emboss panel with the Embossing Folder Kit Club folder.
Mat panel with Onyx cardstock and add to card base.
Stamp Circle of Sunshine sentiment on to Snowdrift cardstock. Cut with circle die.
Cut rainbow from colored cardstock with a die in the Colorblock Circles & Stripes set. Assemble and add to card.

The embossing folder, measuring 5.5 x 8.5 inches, can be used to make cards in a variety of sizes including slimline, mini-slimline, 5 x 7, and A2.

Spellbinders | April 2022 Large Die of the Month

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a large, camera-themed card created with the Spellbinders April 2022 Large Die of the Month – “Say Cheese” – suitable for many occasions, including a birthday.

With the Large Die of the Month set, cut camera, flash, flowers, and sentiment from a variety of cardstock colors including Onyx and Brushed Silver. Assemble.
Dry-emboss yellow card panel measuring 5 x 7 inches with the “Radiant Burst” folder. Add to card base.
Add assembled camera to card background and embellish with Silver Mix Gems.

Designer Tip: Want to make a smaller and/or simpler card? Leave off the flash portion.

Enjoy the Ride – Spellbinders May 2019 Small Die of the Month

Hello! Happy May! Today, I am sharing two CAS projects created with this month’s Small Die of the Month die set “Enjoy the Ride” from Spellbinders.

For my first card, I created a sky/road scene with a pink scooter using letters in the set for the “Ciao” sentiment and balloons (die in the set) tied to the back of the scooter.

I dry-embossed the roadway piece (gray cardstock) with the Beach Towel Embossing Folder.
I cut the “Ciao” sentiment from white cardstock and adhered it to the roadway with liquid adhesive using the dry-embossing lines as a guide for the letters.
I cut the scooter out and assembled it with liquid adhesive and tape.
I added embroidery floss to the balloons, cut from several shades of pink, and attached them to the sky background with dot and foam adhesive. I taped the strings to the sky background making sure that they would be covered by the back of the scooter. I attached the scooter to the scene with dot adhesive.

I love using color and repetition on card designs, so for my second project, which measures 6 1/2″ x 3 3/4″, I created three scooters in bright colors.

I created the Go sentiments on my computer and printed them on white cardstock.
I cut and assembled the scooters from brightly colored cardstock.
I added a strip of washi paper to the right side of the card base to emphasize the road/transportation theme.
I adhered the scooters to the scene with dot adhesive.
