September Release Reverse Confetti Blog Hop

The wait is over! REVERSE CONFETTI has just released SIX stamp sets, EIGHT Confetti Cuts and “Fall Fun” Quick Card Panels. The hop began on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Lisa’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies! I’m sharing two CAS cards combining die cuts and stamps.

For my first card, I used the Double Scallop Garland Confetti Cuts with a sentiment from Spooky Sentiments.

CASHalloweenDblGarland

I cut black cardstock with the open scallop garland and colored cardstock with the closed garland, attaching them together with Ranger Matte Medium glue. I added them in a whimsical manner to the card base, which had been stamped with a Halloween sentiment.

For my second project, I die cut the Thanks from the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts in four shades of yellow/orange. I also cut the Thanks in white as well and attached the colored cardstock die cuts to the white ones for additional dimension. I stamped a white cardstock panel with a sentiment from the Fancy Word Coordinates set.

THANKSCAScard

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to the blog of Amy Rohl. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog.

September Release Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti Day One

It’s Day One of the Countdown to Confetti at Reverse Confetti! Today, Reverse Confetti introduces Too Cute to Spook and Easy As Pie, both with coordinating Confetti Cuts, just in time for fall and Halloween paper crafting!

For my first project, I used one of the Fall Fun Quick Card Panels to frame the cat from Too Cute to Spook, which I heat-embossed on patterned paper and cut with its corresponding Confetti Cuts die. I colored in the nose, ears and stripes with a marker.

TooCutetoSpook

I added a heat-embossed sentiment from Spooky Sentiments cut with the banner in the Tag Me set, as well as some accessories from the Too Cute to Spook set.

For my next project, I created a fall-themed tag with the just-released Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts, along with the cat from Too Cute to Spook, the Easy As Pie Confetti Cuts and a coordinating sentiment.

CutiePie

I heat-embossed the sentiment and added the cat (heat-embossed on patterned paper and cut with its corresponding die) and pie to the tag. I created the hearts with the Shakers ‘n Frames Confetti Cuts set. I cut the top of the pie several times for dimension.

CAS Watercolored Autumn Die Cuts

It’s September, and with that, we begin the fall season! I know that the equinox, marking the beginning of fall, isn’t until later in the month. But to me, the season has arrived, and after a summer drought, the leaves here in the Pacific Northwest are already turning gold and red. My CAS card features the 51-072 Autumn Jewels die cut set from Penny Black paired with a sentiment cut with word die in the 51-040 Hello Frame set.

HelloFall

I painted watercolor paper with Peerless watercolors. Once dry, I cut out the leaves with the Autumn Jewels dies. I cut the Hello out of brown cardstock three times for additional depth. For additonal interest and texture, I adhered the leaves and sentiment onto textured cardstock and added twine.

AEI♥U Challenge #28 – Non-White Card Base

It’s time for another AEI♥U Challenge! This month’s theme is Non-White Card Base! Here’s my take on the theme:

AEI♥U Challenge #28 – Non-White Card Base

I stamped and heat-embossed the birds from Tweet Tweet on kraft cardstock and colored them with Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment from Simply Said: You was heat-embossed white on black cardstock.

There’s no limit to how you can interpret this challenge! Check out the inspiration from the rest of the Design Team over on the AEI♥U Challenge Blog!

Supplies: Avery Elle Tweet Tweet and Simply Said: You stamp sets

Watercolored Sunflower Die Cut Encouragement Card

Today, I’m sharing an encouragement card featuring the My Favorite Things Sunflower die set. I feel as if August is sunflower month, as the palette of flowers and foliage begins to turn to golds and oranges.

Sunflower-Encouragement

I colored the Distress watercolor cardstock with Peerless watercolors, and once dry, I cut out the pieces. In some cases, I added more paint after die cutting. Once dry, I assembled the sunflowers with dimensional adhesive. After adhering the sunflowers, leaves and flourish to the card base, I intentionally bent the petals and leaves for more dimension.
