Snow Globe Christmas Card | Cozy Cabin Feel

Hello! Today, I’m excited to share a Christmas card that combines several fantastic Spellbinders products. This card features a snow globe scene with a snowman perched on a bank of snow, set against a dry-embossed night sky filled with snowflakes. The muted colors of dark red, navy, and wood grain give this card a cozy cabin feel. The card base itself is textured with a cover plate, adding extra dimension and interest. The Starshine Background punctures the cardstock to create a subtle, textured effect. I wrote a post about using cover plates for card backgrounds that you can read HERE.

    • Create the card background from dark red cardstock with the Starshine Background die set. Attach to an A2-size card base.
    • Cut the snowman, snowbanks, trees, and snow globe with dies in the Snow Globe and Snowman Scene sets from a variety of cardstock colors and textures. Dry-emboss the night sky with the Sparkling Snow 3D Embossing Folder. Assemble and add to card base with foam adhesive.

St. Nick’s robe sparkles with red glitter, adding a touch of festive magic. Part of the Home for the Holidays Collection, the St. Nick die set offers accessories including a star, a lantern, and snowflake.

Art Impressions Winter Wonderland

Hello and Merry Christmas! Step into a picturesque scene of a cozy house nestled in the snow, created with the Art Impressions Snowy Window stamp and die set.

Art Impressions Snowy Window

  • Stamp Snowy Window images (scene and snowman) with VersaFine ink on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper; heat set. Color the images with watercoloring mediums of choice (I used Tombow markers). Set aside to dry. (You can read more about watercoloring stamped images HERE.) Once dry, cut the snowman with the die included in the Snowy Window set.
  • Cut a 4 x 5 1/4 inch patterned paper panel (I used a now-retired My Favorite Things die). Use a square die to cut a window in the panel. Attach patterned paper frame to the watercolored image. Add assembly to an A2-size card base. Add the snowman to the scene with foam adhesive.

The window set stamps at Art Impressions are a lot of fun to color. I shared a card created with the Birdhouse Neighborhood set HERE.
