Spellbinders | Tiered Tray for Christmas

Hello! I am delighted to share a holiday card created with products from the on-trend Tiered Tray Collection by Becky Roberts at Spellbinders.

As I previously mentioned in this post, decorating the two-dimensional tray is like decorating a real tiered tray – add anchor pieces on the shelves on opposite sides for balance, add smaller pieces to create symmetry, fill empty spots, and add sprigs of greenery.

Glimmer foil Joyful Christmas Sentiments in red foil on Snowdrift cardstock.
Dry-emboss Cosmic Sky cardstock with the Flurry of Snowflakes 3D folder, trim to A2-size, and add to card base.
Cut Tiered Tray from Brushed Silver cardstock and add distress ink to add dimension. Cut top of tray from Onyx cardstock. Assemble.
Cut Tiered Tray Décor pieces from Snowdrift, Onyx, and colored cardstock, shade with ink, and assemble as required. I used a chalk pencil to color in the stripes on the gnome’s hat. Add décor to tray.
Add decorated tray assembly to dry-embossed background. Adhere sentiment with foam adhesive. Embellish with snowflakes cut with dies in the Holiday Decorations and Chill Bear sets.

Spellbinders | October 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS holiday card featuring the Spellbinders October 2022 Embossing Folder “Scattered Christmas.” I previously shared a 3D Christmas project created with the embossing folder and the Large Die of the Month “Stitched Ornament & Display.”

Dry-emboss Brushed Gold cardstock with Embossing Folder “Scattered Christmas.” Cut to A2 size and adhere to card base.
Glimmer foil Glitter Wishes sentiment in Gold on Snowdrift cardstock and cut with coordinating die.
With Essential Diamonds dies, cut diamonds from Snowdrift, Mirror Gold, and Onyx cardstock. Add diamonds to dry-embossed background.
With Sweet Birdie die, cut pieces from Snowdrift, Brushed Gold, Brushed Silver, and Onyx cardstock; assemble.
Cut foliage from Snowdrift and silver foil cardstock with dies in the Large Die of the Month set.
Add bird, foliage, and sentiment to card.

Spellbinders | October 2022 Large Die + Embossing Folder of the Month

Hello and happy October! I am sharing a 3D holiday project created with the Spellbinders October 2022 Large Die of the Month “Stitched Ornament & Display” paired with the Embossing Folder “Scattered Christmas.” (See more inspiration with the large die here and the folder here.) For my project, I chose a dramatic color combination of copper, dark navy, and white, taking my color cues from the patterned paper.

To create the back of the display, dry-emboss navy cardstock with the “Scattered Christmas” folder and trim to 5 inches x 7 inches.
Cut the Large Die of the Month display pieces from patterned paper, navy cardstock, and copper foil; assemble according to directions.
Cut the Large Die of the Month ornament from Snowdrift and stitch with DMC 435 floss. The ornament can be used with the display or as a focal point on a card.
Add the additional pieces to the ornament and position it in the center of the display.
Embellish the display with floral clusters cut with the Large Die of the Month from Snowdrift cardstock and copper foil.

Hello! Today I am sharing three Christmas tags showcasing the adorable Dancin’ Deer die set, part of the Tinsel Time Collection at Spellbinders. Check out all the new Spellbinders collections here. I previously shared a card with the Dancin’ Deer die set here.

Cut and assemble Dancin’ Deer three times.

Version One Tag

Stencil Cosmic Sky cardstock with Blanco Transfer Gel through the Layered Christmas Tree stencil. Once dry, cut with die in the Create a Decorative Tag die.
Glimmer foil Glitter Wishes sentiment in Silver on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut sentiment to create a snowbank with die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Add to tag background.
Add deer and twine to tag.

Version Two Tag

Glimmer foil String Lights Background in Cobalt Blue on Cosmic Sky cardstock. Cut with die in the Create a Decorative Tag die.
Glimmer foil Celebrate You sentiment in Silver on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut sentiment to create a snowbank with die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Add to tag background.
Add deer and twine to tag.

Version Three Tag

Dry-emboss Cosmic Sky cardstock with Puff Dotty folder. Cut with die in the Create a Decorative Tag die.
Glimmer foil Glitter Wishes sentiment in Silver on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut sentiment to create a snowbank with die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Add to tag background.
Add deer and twine to tag.

Hello! Today I am sharing a friendship card showcasing the September 2022 Embossing Folder “Scattered Fall.” I previously shared a card here using the embossing folder.

Dry-emboss Teal Topaz A2-size panel with the Scattered Fall embossing folder.
Cut bird with Sweet Birdie die set; assemble.
Stamp Tweet Sentiments on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut with On Cloud Nine die. Cut additional clouds with same set.
Use Sweet Birds on a Branch set to cut branches from Paper Bag cardstock.
Use Large Die of the Month set Thankful Tractor to cut flowers and leaves.
