Spellbinders | Paint Your World Collection

Hello! I am delighted to share a slimline card featuring products from the just-released Paint Your World Collection at Spellbinders. I combined the Painted Blooms die set with the collection’s stamp set. I knew right away that I wanted to use paint on this project.

Paint Bristol cardstock with acrylic paint in a variety of colors for the leaves, paint brush, and blooms.
While the painted cardstock dries, cut the brush bristles (several times) and handle tip from Snowdrift cardstock with the Painted Blooms die set. Apply VersaMark to the pieces and clear emboss them.
Cut the paint brush band from silver foil cardstock.
When the painted cardstock is dry, cut the leaves, blooms, and brush. Cut the brush again from thin balsa wood.
Glue the paint bristles and leaves to the balsa wood structure. Glue the foil band and handle tip to the painted brush. Glue the assembly to the balsa wood.
Stamp the Paint Your World sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black ink on a slimline-size, light blue, cardstock base.
Adhere paint brush to card base. Glue flowers and centers together and add to card.

Spellbinders | March 2022 Large Die of the Month

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a slimline, die-cut card created with the Spellbinders March 2022 Large Die of the Month “Kaleidoscope Floral Slimline.” Read more about this month’s club membership here.

This set contains six dies with which to create the base layer and details. On my card, I chose a palette of spring colors.

I die-cut the Large Die of the Month base piece from Snowdrift cardstock.
With the same set, I die-cut the kaleidoscope flowers and other flowers from Snowdrift and colored cardstock and assembled the pieces with glue.
I inlaid portions of the base piece with colored cardstock and added floss to the stems.
I adhered the floral assembly to a slimline-sized light blue card base.
I glimmer foiled a sentiment in Lavender Petal with the Sentiments for Everyday set and die-cut it with a corresponding die in the set.
I added the sentiment to the completed card with foam adhesive.

Spellbinders January 2022 Embossing Folder Kit Club

Hello crafty friends! I’m delighted to share a CAS slimline card created with the Spellbinders January 2022 Embossing Folder Kit Club “Spreading Love.” This is a brand-new Spellbinders kit club for 2022. The folder size will generally be 5.5 x 8.5 inches and can be used to make cards in a variety of sizes including slimline, 5 x 7, and A2.

Die-cut nine 1-inch strips, greater in length than 3 1/2 inches, from colored cardstock. I was inspired by the colors of the iconic conversation heart candies.
Tape together on the back and trim to slimline size.
Dry-emboss with the “Spreading Love” Embossing Folder.
Glimmer-foil the sentiments in Matte Silver on Snowdrift cardstock with plates in the Everyday Sentiments II set. Cut with outline heart die in the Large Die of the Month set.
Add sentiment hearts to dry-embossed panel.
Embellish with hearts cut using dies in the Heart to Heart Tag set.

Penny Black Hello Winter

Hello! Today I am sharing a winter-themed card created with Penny Black supplies. Now is when I shift from making Christmas cards to winter-themed cards for the time of year between Christmas and Valentine’s Day. (I have noticed that every year this is a struggle; I enjoy making Christmas cards as I easily connect to the colors and themes.)

I die-cut the card frame with the 51-718 Slimline Medley die from light-gray cardstock.
I die-cut the snow strip from white cardstock with a die in the 51-717 Border Collection set.
I heat-embossed the 30-881 When Snow Falls sentiment on purple cardstock.
I die-cut the polar bears (from Stampin’ Up flock) and penguins with the 51-668 Festive Family die set.
I die-cut the snowflakes with the 51-708 Dancing Snowflakes, 51-268 A Blizzard, and 51-080 Around Town sets from Sugar Coated cardstock.

Spellbinders Sending Warm Holiday Wishes

Hello and Happy Wednesday! (To those who celebrate Thanksgiving – I hope you have a wonderful holiday!) I am sharing a mini-slimline, winter-themed card created with Spellbinders dies, embossing folder, and stamp set.

I created the card base with the Striped Slimline Embossing Folder.
I die-cut the snow with the Color Block Scenic Scape die set from Sugar Coated cardstock.
I cut the polar bear from Snowdrift and other cardstock colors using the Chill Bear set.
I used Sending You to create the sentiment (this set was the October 2021 Clear Stamp of the Month).
I embellished with trees and snowflakes (cut from the Sugar Coated cardstock).
