Reverse Confetti – November Creative Hop

Today is the day! It’s the 2020 Reverse Confetti November Release Day! We’re celebrating with a hop! You should have arrived here from the blog of Jeanne Jachna. If not, you’ll want to start at the beginning which is the Release Confetti blog.

I am sharing two projects today: one holiday-themed and the other friendship-themed. On the first card, I’m showcasing the Deerly stamp set with coordinating dies.

Reverse Confetti - November Creative Hop

  • I cut the background from Navy cardstock with the Center Frame Cover Panel.
  • I heat-embossed the Seasonal Say It All sentiment in white.
  • I added the Navy panel to a card base covered with patterned paper from the Sweet Stripes 6×6 Paper Pad.
  • I stamped, Copic-colored, and cut the deer, tree, and star garland images.
  • I added the images to the scene, popping the deer up with foam adhesive.

My friendship card features a Mixed Messages sentiment along with foliage from the Botanical stamp set with coordinating dies.

Reverse Confetti – November Countdown to Confetti Day One

Hello! It’s Day One of the November Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti! This release is packed with stamps and dies with which to create for a number of occasions including the holidays.

My first project combines the Botanical stamp set (which has a coordinating die set) and Mixed Messages, a sentiment stamp set. Both are terrific for friendship cards.

  • I stamped the Botanical images, Copic colored them, and cut them with their coordinating dies.
  • I stamped the Mixed Messages sentiment and framed it with the Double Stitch Window.
  • I added the foliage to the front of the frame.

Spellbinders Large Die June 2020 – Geometrical Floral Frames

Hello!  Today I am sharing a CAS friendship card created with the June Large Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders – “Geometrical Floral Frames.” (Edited: This die set is no longer available.)

On my card, I used one of the frames in the set along with the flowers and foliage.

  • I heat-embossed the sentiment on deep blue cardstock.
  • I cut the frame from gold foil.
  • I cut the greenery from SU Cucumber Crush (now retired) and vellum. I cut the flowers from yellow, red, and white, and their centers from gold foil.
  • I glued the foliage and flowers to the frame. I used flowers to cover the junction points for the foliage.
  • I glued the frame to the card base.
  • I added flat sequins in several sizes to the card to fill in the “white space.”

Penny Black – Hope Blooms

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS encouragement or friendship card created with Penny Black supplies. Despite the pandemic (our state is under stay-at-home orders until early May), the flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and the sun is out.

Penny Black - Hope Blooms

    • I stamped a sentiment from the #30-703 Blooming Sentiments set in black ink on blue cardstock and cut the panel with a 3 1/2″ square die.
    • I cut the tree and flowers with the #51-596 Bird and Branch set. I adhered the tree to the square and trimmed as necessary. I added the flowers with glue.
    • I die-cut the birds using the #51-094 Tweets and #51-050 Tweet Things sets and added them to the panel with foam adhesive.
    • The 4 1/4″ square card base is Bazzill Orange Peel cardstock.

Lawn Fawn Hello Spring

Hello! Today I am sharing an Easter-/spring-scene created with Lawn Fawn supplies. It’s a sunny day here in the Pacific Northwest.

Lawn Fawn Hello Spring

  • I die-cut the pieces using the Build-A-House, Build-A-House Christmas (door), and the Scalloped Treat Box Spring Add-On die sets. I assembled the house and tree with glue.
  • I stamped the sentiment (masking part of it) on to white cardstock and cut it with the medium-sized  cloud die. I also cut a cloud with the largest die in the same set.
  • I added a 3/4″ Field Day (green) cardstock strip to the Sea Glass (light blue) card base. Note: the card base is 5 1/2″ wide by 4 3/4″ tall to accommodate the height of the house. (The house can be assembled to be shorter by placing the roof lower and the bottom board higher.)
  • I attached the assembled pieces with dot roller and foam adhesive to the base.
