Reverse Confetti December 2020 Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the December Reverse Confetti Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from the blog of Jeanne Jachna. (If not, you’ll want to start at the Release Confetti blog. The entire blog hop list is included at the end of this post.) For the hop, I am sharing a card suitable for a number of occasions including friendship and birthday.

To begin, I stamped the flowers and leaves with the Bold Blooms set and cut the pieces with their coordinating dies.
I added the pieces to a frame cut with the Center Circle Cover die from Polar White cardstock and backed with light-blue cardstock.
I stamped the Mixed Messages sentiment on to Polar White cardstock, which I cut with one of the Tag Duo dies. I tucked the sentiment into the floral arrangement on the right-hand side of the card.

Reverse Confetti Blog

Reverse Confetti Birthday Card

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS birthday card created with Reverse Confetti supplies.

I cut the Center Circle Cover Panel from Polar White cardstock and added it to a soft blue card base.
I cut a circle of Cue the Confetti patterned paper and added it to the center.
I cut the Balloons from colored cardstock (taking my cue from the patterned paper), backed them with Polar White cardstock, and added white strings.
I stamped the Best Sentiments sentiment on to a lime green cardstock strip.
I added the balloons to the card front with foam adhesive and gathered their strings into a bunch. I placed the sentiment strip across the front, covering where the strings were gathered.

Penny Black – Birthday Hedgie

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS, birthday card created with Penny Black supplies. I used this same hedgehog image on a card here.

I stamped the hedgehog using a stamp in the 30-711 Critter Delights set and colored the image with Copic markers and colored pencils. I restamped the image after coloring it. (I left the stamp on my stamp platform while I colored the image.)
I fussy-cut the hedgehog.
I stamped the 30-700 Carefree Wishes sentiment on to blue cardstock.
I cut the balloon strings using the 51-609 Balloons set and the balloons with dies in the 51-004 Uplifting set.
I trimmed the sentiment panel and added it to a mat cut with the 51-636 Dainty Dashes Stackers set from white cardstock.
I added the assembly to a patterned paper card base.
I added the balloons and the hedgehog (with foam adhesive) to the card.

Paper Smooches Birthday Wishes

Hello! Today I am sharing a birthday card, created with Paper Smooches supplies, which is on its way to a friend who is an avid gardener. I am entering this card into the latest Paper Smooches Challenge, whose theme is Anything Goes.

I die-cut the daisies with the Sunflower die.
I glued the daisies on to light blue paper and trimmed the panel. The panel was sized to fit behind the Polaroid die-cut.
I added the Polaroid frame on which I stamped the sentiment.
For whimsy and additional detail, I added a bee!
I added the Polaroid panel to a dry-embossed background (SU Island Indigo cardstock, now retired, embossed with the Taylored Expressions Burlap folder).

Spellbinders Sunday Drive

Hello! Today I am delighted to share two cards – wedding and birthday – created with the new Spellbinders Sunday Drive die set and the Hitched add-on die set.

The Sunday Drive set includes the pieces to create the convertible car, as well as balloons, HAPPY letter dies, a package, and a Birthday license plate.

I couldn’t resist creating a red convertible and used primary colors to tie in with the patterned paper.

The Hitched die set works with the Sunday Drive set to create a wedding card. I used the flowers and foliage from the set, along with dies from the April Small Die of the Month set to cut the heart balloons. The set also includes dies to add tin cans to the bumper, which I didn’t use.

I glued strands of floss behind the balloons and tucked the strings in between layers on the car.
