Elizabeth Craft Designs – Birthday Monkey in a Jeep

Hello! Today, I am sharing a birthday card created with products from Elizabeth Craft Designs for someone enthusiastic about jeeps and/or animals. Whenever I create a card with a jeep (or tractor or car, …), it is with either my eldest son or my husband in mind. I have shared cards with some of these same products here and here.

  • I cut the Monkey from cardstock colored with inks (Vintage Photo and Memento Desert Sand).
  • I cut the Jeep from red, dark red (behind the grill), black, and yellow cardstock, as well as silver foil.
  • I used the Party Accessories set to cut the hat and the balloons.
  • I stamped a Stampin’ Up sentiment on to the light blue background (5 1/2″ x  6 1/2″).

Spellbinders February 2021 Clubs Blog Hop

Hello! I am delighted to be participating in a blog hop sharing projects created with the Spellbinders February 2021 Club Subscriptions. You should have reached me from the blog of Kathy Clement. (The entire list of participants is included at the end of my post.) For the hop, I created two number/date-based cards using this month’s Large Die of the Month kit “Birthday Wishes for Everyone.” I shared two other cards created with the kit in this post.

To celebrate this release, Spellbinders is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 3 lucky blog readers – selected from the comments on the Spellbinders blog. Giveaway closes on Sunday, February 14, 11:59 pm MST. The winner will be announced in the blog hop post the following Tuesday. The winner is responsible for shipping cost, duties and taxes. Please note: store credit (gift certificate) cannot be applied to Club Subscriptions; store credit can be applied to shop past Club products, Club extras, and regular releases.

My first card is a 28th birthday card on which I die-cut the numbers from strips of orange, teal, and blue cardstock.

  • I used a die in the Holiday Sentiments Series 2 set to cut the strips of colored cardstock. I taped the pieces together on the back and die-cut the numbers.
  • I paired the numbers with the die-cut “Happy” from the Large Die of the Month set and a glimmer-foiled sentiment from the More Sentiments set.
  • I added the elements to a background dry-embossed with the Stargazer folder.
  • For embellishment, I added balloons cut with a die in the Sunday Drive set.

The Large Die of the Month set works for a number of occasions, including graduation! I created a grad card customized with school colors of navy and gold.

  • I added the numbers die-cut from navy cardstock to a Brush Gold background dry-embossed with the Stargazer folder.
  • I die-cut the “Congrats” twice (for extra depth) using a die in the Mix & Match Sentiments set.

Spellbinders February 2021 Large Die Kit Club

Happy February! I’m delighted to share two projects created with the Spellbinders February 2021 Large Die of the Month – “Birthday Wishes for Everyone.” With the 14-piece set, you can create cards for a variety of number/date-based occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. I created birthday cards for children with the set.

On the first card, I highlighted the birthday year by placing it on a die-cut circle.

  • I added the “happy” sentiment, cut from black cardstock, to the patterned card base in a circular fashion.
  • I added the glimmer-foiled “birthday wishes” across the bottom of the circle.

The second card is created for child turning six who is excited to count to their birthday age (remember those days?!!).

  • I cut the numbers from different colors and added them to the A2 patterned paper card base.
  • I cut the “happy” sentiment from white cardstock (same as the “6th”).
  • I used the negative of the “happy” sentiment when I adhered it to the card.

Reverse Confetti Birthday Card

Hello! Today, I am sharing a CAS birthday card created with Reverse Confetti supplies.

Reverse Confetti Birthday Card

  • I cut the Center Circle Cover Panel from Polar White cardstock and added it to a soft blue card base.
  • I cut a circle of Cue the Confetti patterned paper and added it to the center.
  • I cut the Balloons from colored cardstock (taking my cue from the patterned paper), backed them with Polar White cardstock, and added white strings.
  • I stamped the Best Sentiments sentiment on to a lime green cardstock strip.
  • I added the balloons to the card front with foam adhesive and gathered their strings into a bunch. I placed the sentiment strip across the front, covering where the strings were gathered.
