Spellbinders | October 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month

Hello! Today I am sharing a CAS holiday card featuring the Spellbinders October 2022 Embossing Folder “Scattered Christmas.” I previously shared a 3D Christmas project created with the embossing folder and the Large Die of the Month “Stitched Ornament & Display.”

Dry-emboss Brushed Gold cardstock with Embossing Folder “Scattered Christmas.” Cut to A2 size and adhere to card base.
Glimmer foil Glitter Wishes sentiment in Gold on Snowdrift cardstock and cut with coordinating die.
With Essential Diamonds dies, cut diamonds from Snowdrift, Mirror Gold, and Onyx cardstock. Add diamonds to dry-embossed background.
With Sweet Birdie die, cut pieces from Snowdrift, Brushed Gold, Brushed Silver, and Onyx cardstock; assemble.
Cut foliage from Snowdrift and silver foil cardstock with dies in the Large Die of the Month set.
Add bird, foliage, and sentiment to card.

Hello! I am delighted to share a winter-themed CAS card showcasing the Nordic Ornaments die set, part of the Spellbinders Winter Tales Collection by Zsoka Marko, inspired by Norwegian folk art. I glimmer-foiled the Glitter Wishes sentiment in silver on Snowdrift cardstock and cut it the panel with the largest die in the Essential Rectangles set.
I added the sentiment panel to a Brushed Silver A2-size card base.
I cut the Nordic Ornaments pieces from Pomegranate, Glacier, Cosmic Sky, Brushed Silver, and Snowdrift. I used the inlay technique to add some of the pieces to the ornament. I backed the area behind the small hearts with Pomegranate cardstock.
I placed Poppy Pearl Dots in the centers of the flowers, added a silver twine bow to the top, and secured the assembled ornament to the card base with foam adhesive.

Hello! I am delighted to share a winter-themed card created with the Magical Deer die set, part of the Spellbinders Winter Tales Collection by Zsoka Marko, which is inspired by Norwegian folk art.

I applied paste through the snow portion of the Layered Christmas Tree stencil on an A2-size panel of Brushed Silver cardstock. Once dry, I added it to a card base.
I cut the Magical Deer from Onyx, Pomegranate, Cosmic Sky, and Snowdrift cardstock and assembled the pieces.
I glimmer-foiled the Glitter Wishes sentiment in Silver on Snowdrift cardstock and then cut it with the snowbank die in the Warm Wishes Camper die set.
I trimmed the sentiment snowbank and added it to the card. I added the Magical Deer with foam adhesive.

Cut and assemble Dancin’ Deer three times.

Version One Tag

Stencil Cosmic Sky cardstock with Blanco Transfer Gel through the Layered Christmas Tree stencil. Once dry, cut with die in the Create a Decorative Tag die.
Glimmer foil Glitter Wishes sentiment in Silver on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut sentiment to create a snowbank with die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Add to tag background.
Add deer and twine to tag.

Version Two Tag

Glimmer foil String Lights Background in Cobalt Blue on Cosmic Sky cardstock. Cut with die in the Create a Decorative Tag die.
Glimmer foil Celebrate You sentiment in Silver on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut sentiment to create a snowbank with die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Add to tag background.
Add deer and twine to tag.

Version Three Tag

Dry-emboss Cosmic Sky cardstock with Puff Dotty folder. Cut with die in the Create a Decorative Tag die.
Glimmer foil Glitter Wishes sentiment in Silver on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut sentiment to create a snowbank with die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Add to tag background.
Add deer and twine to tag.

Hello! Today I am sharing a Halloween mini-slimline card showcasing the Haunted House die set, part of the Boo Dance Party Collection at Spellbinders.

Stencil the Sun Burst stencil (now discontinued) on Lagoon cardstock with an ink of similar color. Trim to mini-slimline size with the sun center on the right-hand side.
Glimmer foil the Spooky Greetings sentiment in Matte Silver on Royal Amethyst cardstock and cut with a die in the Color Block Scenic Scape set. Add to stenciled background. Trim as needed and add to Onyx cardstock panel. Add Persimmon and Peridot cardstock to top and bottom.
Cut the Haunted House building from black foil cardstock and black foam. Adhere together for extra depth. Back the door with Persimmon and the windows with Peridot cardstock.
With dies in the Haunted House set, cut the moon from Beeswax cardstock, steps from Brushed Silver cardstock, ghosts from Snowdrift cardstock, and the bats from black foam. Add elements to card.
