Spellbinders | Whimsical Garden Card

Hello! I am delighted to share a whimsical card today featuring die sets from the Out & About Collection at Spellbinders. This collection of 15 die sets, including sentiments and focal items, works well with the newest machine in the Spellbinders line-up of die-cutting and embossing machines – the Platinum Scout, a portable and compact design with a platform measuring 3 1/2″ x 9″.

- Create an A2-size card base from Sea Glass cardstock. Add a 1 1/2″ strip of gray-textured cardstock along bottom to create the scene’s ground.
- Cut sentiment from Onyx and vellum with the Hello Smile die set. Add sentiment to card.
- Cut focal items with the Garden Buddies and Mushroom Mansion die sets from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble.
- Cut background foliage with dies in the Little Blooms and Mushroom Mansion sets. Assemble.
- Add elements to card base with dot and foam adhesive.

Summertime Watermelon Card

Hello! Today, I am sharing a bright and cheerful summertime card that combines the Deluxe Caboodle Value Club exclusive “Summertime Slice” die set with the Spellbinders June 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit. The card features a playful, personified slice of watermelon with the sentiment “hello, sweet friend.” You can see the friendship card I created with the Large Die of the Month Club Kit – “Summertime Vacay” – HERE.

- Create A2 card base using the sky color cardstock.
- Use the wavy die in the Large Die of the Month Club Kit set to cut a sand bank. Add a strip of blue cardstock to represent the ocean behind the sand. Trim the elements to 4 1/4″ wide and add the assembly to the card base.
- Use the “Summertime Slice” die and Large Die of the Month Club Kit to create the watermelon slice, umbrella, sun, and clouds; assemble.
- Press the Always and Forever sentiment on Snowdrift cardstock in Black ink; cut with coordinating die set.
- Add elements to card with dot and foam adhesive.

Spellbinders Tropical Beach Bliss

Hello! Summer is the perfect time to spread warmth with a handmade card. Today, I’m sharing a summer-themed, friendship card that captures the essence of a tropical getaway created with the Spellbinders June 2024 Large Die of the Month Club Kit – “Summertime Vacay.” Featuring a beach chair on a sandy island surrounded by water, this card bursts with tropical colors and a cheerful “You brighten my day” sentiment. - Attach a 5″ x 7″ panel of Waterfall cardstock to a 5″ x 7″ card base.
- Cut Blue Spruce cardstock with the wave line die in the Large Die of the Month Club Kit set. Trim and add to card base.
- Cut sand island, waves, beach chair, umbrella, clouds and sun with dies in the Large Die of the Month Club Kit set from a variety of cardstock colors (see list below). Assemble as required.
- Press the Always and Forever sentiment and cut with the coordinating die.
- Add elements to card front with dot and foam adhesive.

Spellbinders Summertime Wade Pool

Hello! Today I am sharing two cards created with the June 2024 Small Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders – “Summertime Wade Pool.” This set includes two cute animals with their floaties, ready for summertime fun! Scroll for information about current Spellbinders promotions!

Note: The sign-up window for new club subscriptions opens on the 6th of each month and closes on the 27th.

I envisioned these cards for children taking swim lessons over the summer.

- Create A2-size card bases.
- Cut white oval mats with a die in the Essential Stylish Ovals set. Cut mats for the focal items with an oval die in the same set (next size smaller) from patterned paper. Add the patterned paper oval to the white oval, add assembly to the card base.
- Create focal items with the Small Die of the Month and assemble. Glue sprinkles to the soft-serve ice cream for embellishment.
- Press the Always and Forever sentiment and cut with the coordinating die. Repeat for the second card.
- Add assembled focal items and sentiment strips to card fronts.

Repetition in Design: Trio of Tropical Birds

Hello! Today I am sharing another card created with the Small Die of the Month kit from Spellbinders – “Tropical Friends.” I previously shared a card created with the kit HERE. On this card, I am embracing the design principle of repetition. Note: the sign-up window for new club subscriptions closes on the 27th.

- Dry-emboss a 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (slimline size) Peridot cardstock with the Puff Dotty folder. Add to card base.
- Press the Always and Forever sentiment with Cosmic Sky ink on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut with the die in the set. Add the sentiment to the card front with foam adhesive.
- Cut birds and foliage with the Small Die of the Month kit from a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble. Add elements to card front with dot and foam adhesive.
