Sunny Studio Stamps | Playful Cats in Cupcakes

Hello! Step into a world of whimsy with a birthday card featuring the Sunny Studio Stamps Birthday Cat stamp set. This card captures the playful essence of cats nestled within scrumptious cupcakes, brought to life with watercolors.

To begin, stamp Birthday Cat images with Versafine on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper; heat set. Color images with watercoloring mediums of choice. (Check out my “Resources for Watercoloring Stamped Images” HERE.) Once dry, cut with coordinating dies.
Create A2 card base and cover with gingham patterned paper.
Next, apply white pigment ink on to light teal cardstock with a stencil in the Cloud Background set. Once dry, cut with 3 1/4 x 4 3/4 stitched rectangle die.
Stamp Birthday Cat sentiment on to gray cardstock. Cut with the same stitched rectangle die, leaving room below the sentiment for die-cut letters. Trim top to create a horizon line and add to the cloud background panel. Add assembly to card base.
Cut “MEOW” from white glitter foam (non-glitter side up) with the Art Impressions Journal Letter die set. Add below “the party starts.”
With the Lawn Fawn Party Balloons set, cut balloons and strings. Assemble and add to card.
Add watercolored cats to card, propping up the cat in center with foam adhesive.

Hugs in a Mug – A Cozy Christmas Card

Hello! Picture a cozy scene filled with the aroma of cocoa and the joy of festive treats. Today, I am depicting that scene with the Elizabeth Craft Designs Warm Winter Mug die set and the Holiday Treats stamp set.

The Warm Winter Mug die set and the Holiday Treats stamp set were part of the Cozy and Warm Collection, released last year; you can see more about the release in this video.

Cut the Warm Winter Mug pieces from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble.
To create the ombré background, apply Festive Berries Oxide ink to white cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment “hugs in a mug” from the Holiday Treats set on to the inked panel and trim to 5″ wide by 5 1/4″ tall. I let the width and height of the mug dictate the card size. Add panel to card base.
Finally, embellish with Mini Snowflakes cut from white glitter foam to fill the empty spaces and enhance the wintery feel.

With just a change of colors and texture of the cardstock, the Small Die of the Month Club set makes it effortlessly simple to create uniquely charming cards. Previously, I shared a holiday card created with the same set HERE.

With the Small Die of the Month Club set, Cut the tree, greenery, small flowers, poinsettias, sentiment banner, and star from a range of materials including brushed white, brushed gold, brushed velvet, and red cardstock. Assemble.
Dry-emboss a fern cardstock A2-size panel with the Scattered Christmas folder. (This folder was the October 2022 Embossing Kit offering.) Add to A2-size card base.
Next, add a snowbank, cut with a die in the Warm Wishes Camper set from snowdrift cardstock, which serves as a grounding element for the tree.
Finally, embellish with adhesive gold gems.

Santa’s Barbie Makeover: A Pink-Tastic Twist on Holiday Magic!

Hello! Santa, always one to embrace the spirit of joy and playfulness, has joined the Barbie craze. In a nod to the vibrant world of the new Barbie movie, Santa has traded his traditional red suit for a stylish pink ensemble. With a touch of pink adorning his hat and suit, Santa effortlessly blends his timeless magic with the trendy allure of Barbie, bringing a delightful surprise to the holiday season.

I previously shared a card showcasing the Spellbinders Santa’s Here die set, on which he is wearing traditional garb, HERE.

Cut Santa from a variety of materials, including velvet cardstock, brushed black cardstock, and brushed silver cardstock.
Use one of the Essential Arches to cut a night sky from navy cardstock to which the snowbank is added.
Glimmer foil the A Merry Little Christmas sentiment in Matte Silver on Snowdrift cardstock and cut with a die in the Warm Wishes Camper set.
Add the assembly to an A2-size snowflake-embossed card base.
Embellish with snowflakes cut from white glitter foam.

Crafting Warmth | Christmas in July

Hello! Today I am showcasing Elizabeth Craft Designs products – the Sweater Season die set and Holiday Treats stamp set – on a holiday card. These sets were part of the Cozy and Warm Collection, released last year; you can see more about the release in this video. I am currently enjoying participating in the ongoing Christmas in July celebration at Scrapbook.com, as it builds anticipation for the upcoming holiday season.

Using the Sweater Season die set, I cut two winter sweaters from wool felt, adding warmth and coziness to the card. The sentiment, from the Holiday Treats set, stamped on a woodgrain pattern, also reinforces the winter theme.

Step-by-step instructions to create the holiday card:

- Cut the sweaters from wool felt using the Sweater Season die set. Assemble. For greater stability, I cut backs for the sweaters from cardstock. I trimmed the edges of the cardstock so that only the felt was visible. Note: I used the Scarecrow die set to cut the eyes from Crushed Black Velvet cardstock for the bear.
- Stamp the sentiment “Cozy Winter Vibes” from the Holiday Treats set on to a six by six inches woodgrain patterned paper panel. Add to card base.
- Add die-cut snowflakes to fill in the white space and enhance the wintery feel.

With just a change of colors, the sweater and sentiment would work on autumn-themed, Valentine’s Day, or winter-themed (non-Christmas holiday) cards.
