Rubbernecker – Cabin in the Woods

Hello! Today I am sharing a Christmas, winter-themed card created with Rubbernecker supplies (many of these products are now available at Brass and Bliss as Rubbernecker rebranded).

Rubbernecker - Cabin in the Woods

  • I heat-embossed the Snowmen with Presents sentiment in white on dark blue cardstock. After masking the sentiment, I added white embossing paste through a Carta Bella snow stencil and set the panel aside to dry.
  • I die-cut the Pine Tree Forest and Deckle Frame from white cardstock.
  • I trimmed the Pine Tree Forest to fit behind the Deckle Frame. Once the stenciled background was dry, I adhered the forest and frame to the background.
  • I added the assembly to a light gray card base.
  • I die-cut the Cabin from a variety of cardstock colors and assembled the pieces. The small trees, snow on the chimney, and roof were cut from Doodlebug Lily White glitter cardstock. I added the assembled cabin and trees to the scene with foam adhesive.

Rubbernecker – Stormy Weather

Hello! Today I am sharing a friendship card showcasing the Fishing Boat die at Rubbernecker.

Rubbernecker - Stormy Weather

  • I have been sharing a lot of nautical cards of late. For this one, I wanted to use a different sentiment than “Ahoy” (or similar). My idea for the different sentiment came about after I inked clouds in the sky with the MFT Cloud Stencil. The sky indicated a storm was moving in. If I found myself in rough sea, I’d certainly prefer to be in a fishing boat rather than a sailboat! Of course, the Fishing Boat can be used for a nautical card with an “Ahoy” sentiment.
  • I created the sentiment on my computer and cut it with the Rubbernecker Deckle Frame die. I did something similar on this card.
  • I used the Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Borders to cut the waves from two shades of blue cardstock.

On the first card, I paired the Bouquet of Flowers (retired) die set with a glimmer-foiled sentiment in the Mini Sincere Sentiments set.

Supplies:

Penny Black Daisy Delight

Hello! I am sharing a friendship/encouragement card created with Penny Black supplies from the newest release – “Delight” – as well as previous releases.

Penny Black Daisy Delight

  • I stamped 40-776 Enlightened background in Dandelion ink on gold cardstock and cut the panel to A2-size.
  • I stamped the 30-712 Words of Encouragement sentiment on to a Distress Oxide Ink cardstock panel.
  • I cut 51-676 Daisy Delight and colored the blossoms and stems with Copic markers.
  • I cut the 51-636 Dainty Dashes Stackers panel from white cardstock, and by cutting the center with a rectangular die, I created a frame.
  • I added the frame and daisies (which I trimmed and adhered to the back of the frame) to the Distress Oxide Ink panel.
  • I embellished with a butterfly cut with one of the dies in the 51-132 Flights of Fancy set.

Lawn Fawn Spring Build-A-House Hello

Hello! Today I am sharing a spring-themed card created with Lawn Fawn products. I have shared similar cards here and here. I like cards that feature houses, windows, and fences. One of my favorite pastimes is to look at houses and gardens!

Lawn Fawn Spring Build-A-House Hello

  • I die-cut the Build-A-House and Spring Add-On pieces from cardstock and assembled them.
  • I embossed the background with the Stitched Cloud cover plate. I own the landscape version of the die rather than the portrait version. Luckily the bottom of the sky ended where the grass began!
  • I added a Grassy Border.
  • I masked the Simply Sentiments sentiment and cut it with one of the Simply Puffy Cloud Frame dies.
