Spellbinders July 2021 Clubs Blog Hop

Hello! I am delighted to be participating in a blog hop sharing projects created with the Spellbinders July 2021 Club Subscriptions. You should have reached me from the blog of Emily Midgett. For the hop, I created a birthday card using this month’s Large Die of the Month kit “Mini Slimline Envelope and Nested Card Creator.” I previously shared another card created with the kit here. I couldn’t resist creating another red, white, and blue card for a summer birthday!

To create the card base, I used a previous Large Die of the Month kit – Colorbock Circles & Stripes – to cut stripes from red, white, and blue cardstock. For the stars layer, I applied embossing paste through the Star Bright Stencil. I embellished the card with flowers cut using the July Large Die of the Month kit and balloons cut using the Celebration Scene die set.

Penny Black – Dream & Discover – Tropical Paradise

Hello (Aloha)! Penny Black has just released a new collection -“Dream & Discover.” I am sharing a summer-themed card created with two of the products in the release – 51-643 Tropical Paradise and 30-844 At Ease.

I used the Spellbinders July 2021 Large Die of the Month “Mini Slimline Envelope and Nested Card Creator” to create the card base and backed it with black cardstock.
I cut the 51-643 Tropical Paradise beach silhouette scene from black cardstock and backed it with a circle colored with Distress Oxide Inks.
I stamped the 30-844 At Ease sentiment on to cardstock colored with Distress Oxide Ink and cut it with a circle die.
I die-cut the 51-643 Tropical Paradise hibiscus and foliage from cardstock colored with Distress Oxide Inks and added them to a circle also colored with ink.
I added the three circles to the card base.

Rubbernecker – Gnomes on the Beach

Hello! Today I am sharing a friendship card showcasing the Gnome Couple die set at Rubbernecker. I previously featured this die set on a card here.

I die cut the Gnome Couple from colored cardstock and assembled the pieces.
I die-cut the Palm Trees from colored cardstock. Before assembling the trees, I added Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink to help blend the two cardstock colors.
I die-cut the Lifeguard Tower from colored cardstock and assembled the pieces.
I stamped the sentiment on to white cardstock and added inks for the sky and sand. This is my “go to” sentiment for gnome-themed cards.

Penny Black – Paws and Relax

Hello! Today I am sharing a card showcasing the 30-832 Paws and Relax stamp set from the Stamping With Scooter release at Penny Black. Today Scooter heads to the spa for some pampering!

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers and colored pencils. There is another image in the 30-832 Paws and Relax set, which was too large for this circle size. I plan to use that image as a standalone on another card.
I stamped the images again on to Masking Magic paper. I fussy-cut the images, applied the masks to the colored images, and sponged Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen to the images.
I cut the images with a 2-1/2 inch circle die, from the Hero Arts Infinity Dies set.
I stamped the sentiment on to SU Flirty Flamingo cardstock, cut to a slimline size, and attached the images.
