Tim Holtz | Die-cut Flowers

Hello! Today I am sharing a bouquet of die-cut flowers created with dies designed by Tim Holtz for Sizzix.

Cut pot, floral, and foliage pieces with dies in the Modern Floristry, Potted, and Brushstroke Flowers 2 sets from Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
Watercolor die-cut pieces with Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, and Peeled Paint inks. Once dry, add additional ink as necessary.
Cut flower centers from black cardstock.
Assemble flowers.
Stamp Tiny Text sentiment in black on white cardstock. Add Tumbled Glass ink to background.
Adhere pot, flowers, and foliage to card using foam adhesive as necessary.

Hello! We have summer-like weather in the Pacific Northwest, and I was inspired to create an ocean-themed card. I am sharing a colorful friendship card showcasing the Memory Box School of Fish die set.

Heat-emboss, with white powder, the sentiment in the Lawn Fawn Simply Sentiments set on Bristol.
Mask and apply yellow and orange inks over sentiment. Mask to apply blue inks for ocean. Mask again to apply yellow and orange inks above ocean. Trim panel.
Ink Bristol in a variety of colors and cut with School of Fish die.
Add fish to ocean with glue and foam adhesive.

Rubbernecker | Summer Road Trip Scene

Hello! Today I am sharing a die-cut scene depicting a road trip in the American Southwest created with Rubbernecker supplies.

Create background

Apply alcohol inks to Yupo paper. Cut the Double Buttes and Single Butte with dies in the Southwest Hills set.
Cut hill from tan cardstock with die in the Southwest Hills set. Add ink to edge for definition.

Create focal elements

Cut Beach Van from white, dark teal, gray, black, and silver foil cardstock. Assemble using instructions provided on Beach Van product page.

Assembly & Finishing Touches

Stamp Mini Simple Sayings “Relax” sentiment in black on white cardstock. Cut with largest Clouds die. Cut additional clouds.
With Cactus die, cut cacti from cardstock colored with green ink.
With Sun Moon die, cut sun from cardstock colored with yellow ink.
Cut small flowers with Tiny Flower Buds die from cardstock colored with yellow ink; adhere to cactus plants.
Add cacti and sun to scene with dot adhesive. Add Beach Van and clouds with foam adhesive.

Today Rubbernecker is celebrating their Summer Release! Head over to see the stamp sets designed with summer in mind, suitable for a wide variety of occasions. I created a single-layer, fireworks-themed, birthday card showcasing the 4th of July Fireworks set.

Heat-emboss the 4th of July Fireworks sentiment in white on black cardstock.
Stamp the first layer of the images of 4th of July Fireworks with white pigment ink. (One of the set’s images is repeated.) Let white pigment ink dry or dry with heat embossing tool.
Heat-emboss the second layer of the fireworks with tinsel embossing powders; gold, red, and blue shown.
Trim panel and add to white cardstock A2-size base.

Rubbernecker | Nautical-themed Hello

Hello! Today, in celebration of the fact that it is almost summer, I am sharing a nautical-themed card featuring Rubbernecker dies, stencil, and stamp set.

Stencil Sun Burst in yellow ink on white cardstock.
Cut Light House and keeper’s cottage (in the same set) from white, gray, red, and yellow cardstock.; assemble.
Cut wave from blue cardstock with a die in the Slimline Waves set.
Cut beach from sand-colored cardstock with a die in the Slimline Hills set.
Assemble A2-size card front, adhering the wave and beach to the sun background, leaving room between the two for the lighthouse structure.
Add lighthouse and cottage to the scene.
Stamp sentiment from Mini Simple Sayings on to a cloud cut with the Clouds set.
Embellish with Seagulls cut from light-gray cardstock.
