Hello and happy August! I am delighted to share a card created with the Spellbinders August 2023 Small Die of the Month kit titled “Breezy Swing.” With this 15-piece die set, you can create a card suitable for a variety of occasions. Find more details and inspiration on the Spellbinders blog HERE.

I chose teal, dark orange, and yellow-gold cardstock colors to represent the change of seasons, from summer to fall in the Northern Hemisphere. The warm tones of orange and yellow evoke the anticipation of autumn’s golden hues.

  • To begin, dry-emboss Beeswax cardstock with Tiny Dots embossing folder and trim to A2-size; add to card base.
  • Next, cut Small Die of the Month pieces from a variety of cardstock colors and assemble.
  • Next, glimmer foil the sentiment from Sentiments for Everyday in teal on Snowdrift cardstock. Cut sentiment with On Cloud Nine die and cut additional clouds.
  • Finally, add the card elements to the dry-embossed base by adhering the woman on the swing assembly and clouds. Finish by embellishing with floral clusters.

Spellbinders | Tiered Tray

Hello! I am delighted to share a card created with products in the on-trend Tiered Tray Collection by Becky Roberts at Spellbinders.

Decorating the two-dimensional tray is like decorating a real tiered tray – add anchor pieces on the shelves on opposite sides for balance, add smaller pieces to create symmetry, fill empty spots, and add sprigs of greenery.

Elizabeth Craft Designs | Scarecrow

Hello! Today, I am sharing a fall-themed card featuring the Elizabeth Craft Designs Scarecrow die set.

Elizabeth Craft Designs | Scarecrow

  • I colored Soft Finish cardstock with a variety of Distress Oxide inks from which I cut the Scarecrow pieces.
  • I stamped a white cardstock panel with the Autumn Words sentiment and cut it with the largest die in the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables set.
  • I added the stamped panel to an A2-size background of PhotoPlay Fall Plaids paper, which I attached to a card base.
  • I added the assembled Scarecrow and crows (cut with the same die set) to the panel.

Lawn Fawn | Pumpkin House Hello

Hello! Fall is definitely in the air here in the Pacific Northwest. Right now, I am enthusiastic about the change of seasons. (This will change by the end of October!) Today, I am sharing a fall-themed card created with a combination of Lawn Fawn supplies.

  • I used the largest Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables die to cut a rectangle from Mermaid cardstock. For the grass, I cut a 2-inch tall Noble Fir cardstock strip with the same die. I glued the pieces together to create the background and added the panel to an A2-size card base.
  • I cut the Pumpkin House from a variety of cardstock colors and assembled it. With a die in the Build-A-House Spring Add-On, I cut the fence from Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock. I added the fence and house to the background.
  • I stamped and Copic-colored the Forest Feast food and critters-Squirrel (E31 and E34), Hedgehog (E50, E53, E23, E25), Raccoon (W0, W2, W4, W6)-and cut them with their coordinating dies.
  • I stamped the Hello Baby sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it with the medium cloud in the Spring Showers die set. I cut the smallest cloud with the same set.
  • I added the critters, sentiment cloud, and extra cloud to the scene.
