Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 154 | Into the Woods

Hello! I’m delighted to share a card that embodies the “Into the Woods” theme for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 154. Step into a world where whimsical critters drive, evergreen trees stretch towards the sky, and the call of adventure echoes through the air. Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 154 | Into the Woods

For the challenge, I’ve crafted a scene that features a car adorned with fishing gear, accompanied by two critters ready for an outdoor escapade. The forest border, mountain peaks, and the backdrop of evergreen trees complete the scene.

I used the Car Critters and the Road Trip Add-On stamps and coordinating dies to create the focal point. I stamped the images on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper and used markers to color them. Once dry, I cut the images with their coordinating dies. To create the road, I used the On the Road die set. To create the forest in the background, I used the Forest Border die. I added trees cut with dies in the Forest Backdrop in the foreground.

Previously, I shared a card featuring the Car Critters set HERE.

Winter Wonderland | Lawn Fawnatics Challenge

Hello! I am delighted to be participating in the Lawn Fawnatics’ Christmas in July Challenge for which I have created a winter-themed card.

Winter Wonderland | Lawn Fawnatics Challenge

Lawn Fawnatics #153

  • For the challenge, I created a winter scene background featuring the Lawn Fawn Build-A-Cabin perched upon a gentle snowbank and a night sky adorned with stenciled snow. I previously shared cards showcasing the Build-A-Cabin HERE and HERE. Crafting the cabin from Sugar Plum cardstock added playfulness to the scene.
  • I stamped images from the adorable Lawn Fawn Snowball Fight set and brought them to life with watercolors. Mice throwing snowballs adds whimsy to the scene.
  • After applying white paste through the Snow Flurries Background, I sprinkled on Sparkle Dust Glitter and set the panel aside to dry.
  • When I assembled the scene, I used foam adhesive to add depth to the elements.
  • To embellish, I added Mini Snowflakes cut from Pop Up white glitter foam.

Lawn Fawn | Seaside Escape

Hello! I am delighted to share a seaside-themed card featuring the recently released Lawn Fawn Build-A-House – Beach Add-On die set. Picture a charming Robin’s Egg Blue beach house, adorned with pristine white trim and delicate coral accents. The card reflects the charm of the coastal lifestyle.

Lawn Fawn | Seaside Escape

  • With the Build-A-House and Build-A-House – Beach Add-On sets, I cut the house pieces. Although I had envisioned a tropical setting, the colors of the assembled house suggested something more subtle. You can see a tropical beach house scene HERE.
  • Next, I stamped the Car Critters Road Trip Add-On sentiment “Adventure Awaits” on Kraft cardstock, cutting the stamped panel with a die in the Stitched Hillside Borders set. I cut additional dunes using a different die in the same set and a die in the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders set. I cut the wave from darker teal cardstock using a die in the Ocean Wave Borders set.
  • To embellish, using the Scalloped Treat Box Beach House Add-On set, I cut the seagull from white and light gray cardstock. I colored the beak and legs with a Copic marker (Y38). With the Simple Puffy Cloud Frames I cut two clouds to embellish the scene.

Sail Away with Sunny Studio Stamps

Hello! Today, I am thrilled to share with you a whimsical, nautical-themed card combining the Sunny Studio Stamps Birthday Cat stamp set (and coordinating die set) with other products in my stash. The Sunny Studio Stamps Birthday Cat stamp set is packed with cat images that can be used for a variety of occasions, not just birthdays. This card showcases stamping, watercoloring, stenciling, and die-cutting techniques. Send this card to a cat lover, nautical enthusiast, or to brighten someone’s day.

    • Stamp Birthday Cat images with VersaFine ink on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper, heat set, and watercolor with mediums of choice. When dry, cut with the coordinating dies.
    • Cut sailboat pieces from cardstock and foam (for depth). Glue pieces together. I used a now-retired Paper Smooches die set to create the sailboat.
    • Create the background by applying white pigment ink on light-blue cardstock through one of the stencils in the Lawn Fawn Cloud Background set.
    • To create the waves, cut Cosmic Sky cardstock with a die in the Ocean Wave Borders set. Trim and add to cloud background. Cut assembly to 4 x 5 1/4 inches and add to white canvas texture cardstock base.
    • Adhere sailboat pieces to card.
    • Cut sentiment with Journal Letter dies from white cardstock and foam. Glue together and adhere to card front.
    • Add cats to the boat.

Lawn Fawn | Sailing with the Car Critters

Hello! Today I am sharing a whimsical, nautical-themed card that uses the Lawn Fawn Car Critters stamp set in a novel way. Strips of cardstock mimic a cruise ship, proudly named the SS CUBBY. Through five die-cut windows, the Car Critters take center stage, offering a twist on their traditional use. This mini slimline card not only showcases the versatility of the Car Critters set but also demonstrates how simple techniques, like using strips of paper, a circle die, and an alpha die set, can yield a unique card.

Lawn Fawn | Sailing with the Car Critters

  • Stamp Car Critters on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper with VersaFine ink; heat set.
  • Color bears with watercoloring mediums of choice.
  • Create card base for a mini-slimline measuring 6 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches from Snowdrift cardstock.
  • Create portholes by cutting a Snowdrift cardstock panel, measuring 6 1/2 inches wide, five times with a 3/4 inch circle die.
  • Adhere the watercolored bears to the back of the porthole section.
  • Add strips of cardstock to card base to resemble cruise ship along with the porthole section.
  • Die-cut Journal Letters from Snowdrift cardstock and foam. Adhere foam to the back of the letters. Adhere letters to card front.
